It's easy to find problems and dead ends, but what about the opposite?
Are you so solution-oriented that it can be difficult to see problems?

When writing marketing copy or identifying value propositions, the starting line is always the problem.

It can be tempting to live in "problem land" where there are a bunch of obstacles and friction points halting progress.

But what about solutions land? Is it true or false? or is there nuance?
People further in their careers/life often have more confidence, experience and a growth mindset. 

They may be blind to friction points their team or friends have because they expect that it can get done. They've got the faith. Sometimes too much.

Call it audacity or "its-all-figureoutable" attitude, or sometimes lack of technical awareness.

Empathetic listening, paraphrasing and psychological safety are just as important upward facing as downwards and laterally. 

Your people can be positive and still be a team or group that identifies real problems. 

Nick Bennett wrote a post about surrounding yourself with the right people. My comment about new friends is determining if they are problem people or solutions people.

Where I jumped in too fast with my keyboard ninja skills to comment is that to be a WISE solutions person, you need to correctly ID the problem. 

Just like good marketing needs to accurately identify what problem is being solved. 

So what's the difference between solutions and problems people? 
Where they stop in their obstacles, and why. 

The speed of which their journey goes is relevant to their contexts, but that is where patience and procrastination exist, and a whole different discussion. 

People, and ourselves are complicated. 
The theme of Nick's post and my albeit flawed reply is that people in your life that you surround yourself with don't need to be perfect, they need to be kind to you and vice versa.

Who is someone who shows up positively for you?

As an obsessively learning and evolving professional, my deep drive to help others has grown from helping them with their health, to their personal finances, to achieving their professional goals as small business owners and solopreneurs. 

Along the way, three fundamental truths have stood out that shape my work: 
1. Everything is connected and intertwined 
2. It doesn’t matter what industry you are in, you must be able to strategically run a business 
3. Providing a needed solution and value doesn’t help anyone if they don’t know you exist. 

I’ve shaped my career to follow my passion for helping those with the classic American Dreams: Entrepreneurism and Individuality. There is enough opportunity out there, but it will only work when aligned with organizational and personal strengths. 

Good marketing isn’t just a series of PPC, SEO, color palettes or other ads, it’s messaging that reaches deeper into your target audience, that generates revenue and value.
