Reporting directly to the CEO and VP, my role comprised of lead sourcing, direct c-level contact (CEO, CIO, CTO, CISO), securing web meetings, originating and delivering sales presentations with Milton engineers over Web-ex, producing quotes/closing business and managing pipeline. My time at Milton was immensely rewarding and definitely a comprehensive education in how to navigate a prospect to completion through a complex process of consultation. I worked alongside two corporate consultant IFAs, one of whom, Pieter van Rooyen, was the founding director of Principia and the other, Niel Gavin, being the Head of Corporate Consulting at Principia. The company was, at the time of joining, one of London‟s top twenty financial services brokerages. Principia had little experience in consulting the target FTSE 100/250 Final Salary pension schemes in the U.K.; my objective was to promote Principia‟s Corporate Consulting Network and Asset Management team and gain access to participate in tenders to ultimately access and control certain Asset Classes on behalf of the Trustees.

Within four months I had secured seventy eight meetings with the Financial Directors and Pension Managers of the top 250 companies in the U.K. including:

I was responsible, along with Mr. Gavin, for producing comprehensive asset management proposals for the Pension Managers of PLCs and Multinationals. We gained the opportunity to deliver our Tender Proposals to the boardrooms of the most prestigious companies - we reached the 'final two' in many of these processes of elimination and gracefully took second place on many occasions to the leading UK Pension Management companies, we were often retained as independent advisers to advise on the management of Asset Allocation. This activity led us being perceived as a highly regarded and well-respected "top drawer" progressive brokerage/advisory service and ultimately led to Principia being subsumed by Montpelier Europe.
