5th-year PhD Candidate at Clemson University under Dr. Byoungmoo Kim with an estimated graduation date of Spring/Summer 2025. I am a first-generation college graduate in my family, and will be the first Ph.D. holder in my entire extended family. Organic synthesis is something I find both challenging and fun, since it reminds me strongly of both Legos & cooking that I grew up with. I harbor great interest in working for the pharmaceutical or fine chemicals industries, and ideally would want to be a synthetic specialist in an interdisciplinary team. I find medicinal chemistry particularly fascinating. I have presented my ongoing research project on Titanium Multicatalysis at both ACS in Indianapolis, IN and SERMACS in Durham, NC. My current goal is expanding the nucleophile scope of the overall concept.
