Oversee the timely and accurate completion of the MDS for a 110-bed facility. 
Serve as a key resource to physicians and interdisciplinary team in areas involving Medicare/Medicaid coverage. 
Monitor the facility’s QI and QM reports to ensure that appropriate corrective action can be implemented when potential problem areas occur. 
Assist with discharge planning. 
Work with case managers for the various HMO’s obtaining authorization for patient stays. 
Participate in the Quality Improvement program. With accurate coding and management of QI/QM data, I increased the Quality Measures from 2 Stars to 5 Stars.

With more than 7 years of experience in the field, I’ve seen first-hand the huge range of tasks and endless to-do lists that make up the daily schedule of an MDS coordinator. I know how difficult and overwhelming the job can be. I founded DRS  to provide a level of professionalism and focus that regional MDS coordinators just don’t have the time to deliver. I implement my tried-and-true methods to create a teamwork approach, allowing my team to work alongside the MDS coordinators providing reimbursement and quality measures for nursing homes and SNFs.
