I’m LAY-LAWN-EE SIGH-EZ, a former researcher and now ICF-certified coach focused on helping others be more stress-resilient. What began as a passion to understand working memory -- a fundamental executive (brain) function we use for nearly everything not automatic -- turned into a need to share what I’ve learned. Working memory processing enables us to hold information in mind while doing or thinking about something else, and it's influenced by stress, attention, emotions, thoughts, skill level, and aging. It’s fundamental to how we self-regulate and do the things we do! My coaching is directly drawn from this essential aspect of how we are at any moment. I use a sincere and practical approach that’s based on brain, cognitive, & psychological research and mindfulness teachings. I use a RESiLIEnt framework to help overwhelmed clients think, feel, and live better so that they can optimally self-manage and stay stress resilient. This means discovering how they best function (including motivations, strengths, and needs) and how to leverage this as a resource each day, to navigate through challenges and uncertainty clear, strong, and ready to take beneficial action. They enhance how they use their natural capacities. 😉 I also present, educate, and consult on topics that cultivate greater stress resilience, such as optimizing working memory through brain-healthy habits, preventing personal overload & decision fatigue, and enhancing wonder for positive well-being.
