Lot’s of companies talk about diversity, but most of it feels like bla bla bla, just to check the box, no?

People don’t want to be hired just to fill a quota, they want to be hired because they’re good and because the company feels like a place where they can actually belong.

I had an incredible talk with Anastasia Pshegodskaya from Remote about this.

Not just D&I as a concept, but how content creation plays a huge role in showing who you truly are, so candidates can see themselves there (or not), without the corporate mask.

And this is already shifting.

For example, Microsoft just announced that instead of releasing another formal report, they’ll share D&I progress through stories and videos - If you are not creating content here on Linkedin, maybe it’s time to rethink that.

So let me ask you: Is diversity in your industry real or just PR? Where have you seen honest inclusion?

This is my first November in years without a Web Summit badge.
Normally, this week is always the same:
Lisbon, pavilions packed, cool side events, founders, VCs, beers, late dinners.
And it always brought something back: new deals, new intros, new ideas.

Web Summit has been very good to me and to Ambi.

This year, I’m taking my calls from Vietnam and Cambodia instead.

 Same laptop, some of the same and new clients in Europe, Brazil, the US and now Asia too.

Do I feel FOMO? Of course.

My feed is full of badges, stages and parties.

But stepping away made something clearer:
Sometimes what your business needs isn’t another big event.
It’s space to think, rewrite the plan, and remember why you’re building this in the first place.

Out here, I’ve been:
1. reworking Ambi and Ambi Studio offers
2. improving the content system that brings us inbound clients
3. making decisions with a calmer head
4. still onboarding new clients and joining meetings

Conferences give you exposure.
Distance gives you perspective.

Background in finance, compliance, risk or strategy consulting

We’re looking for a  CFO to join a company scaling across Europe, and very fast.

You’ll bring to the table:
10+ years in finance leadership (CFO/VP Finance), in Enterprise B2B, hardware + SaaS/IoT or ops-heavy scale-ups (€100M+ revenue)

Proven track record building FP&A & unit-economics frameworks: standard/ABC costing, BOM/landed-cost models, margin waterfalls, LTV/CAC, cohort analysis

Implemented or scaled ERP & BI stacks (NetSuite/SAP/Odoo + Power BI/Looker/Tableau), including automation of P2P, OTC, close processes

Experience raising capital & managing debt (venture debt, RCF, asset-backed), covenant mgmt, investor/bank relations

Exceptional business partnering & communication

Fluent in English

Exposure to IoT fleet economics & service-heavy ops models

Experience with EU incentives, grants, R&D tax credits

Background in supply-chain / contract manufacturing finance

Location: Lisbon, hybrid
Salary: ~130K + performance-based bonus
