Delivering a 28-hour Project Management training in which we discuss key aspects of the PMI knowledge areas as well as best practices of the industry and from inside the company. Filled with specific examples and based on in-class exercises, I delivered this training in three Luxoft locations, across three different countries.

A 16-hour training aimed at the people willing to adopt Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) in their project or organization, as well as at those who want to compare their ways of working with industry best practices.
The training is built on practical exercises, Scrum simulation, discussions and case studies illustrating the basic principles and practices of Agile development.

Trainer - Project Management and Agile

Managing approximately 40 engineers in one of the Infotainment Continental accounts. Main responsible for delivery of new features, bug-fixing by the development team, triage of local software defects as well as the results of the local pre-integration and testing team.

Participating in requirements meetings, analyzing technical requests, proposing solutions. Coming up with the project plan in terms of technical aspects, engineering experience, cost and time needed for the required quality. 

Communicating extensively and negotiating with the client in order to find ways to successfully fulfill both their expectations as well as ours.

Pre-Sales Project Manager

Release Prime for a series of projects in the Lenovo/IBM System Networking division. Planning, coordinating the team members, establishing the test environment, writing test-plans, allocating resources as well as team-working with the development team for bringing further quality to the testing process. Responsible for the test coverage and progress for a mixed nationalities team (China/USA/India/Romania).

Coordinating several Functional Teams in the Lenovo/IBM System Networking division, consisting of both manual and automation engineers. Consulted on overall Test Strategy, analyzing the Requirements in order to write the functional and non-functional Test Cases, assigning tasks to team members and keeping a day-to-day communication with the developers assigned to the feature as well as with the Project Manager located in Santa Clara. Also working "hands-on" with my colleagues in testing several features, especially in the L2 and L3 areas.

Engineering Team Leader / Release Prime

Relocated to Santa Clara, California, responsible for designing and building complex topologies, containing equipment from multiple vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.). Had direct contact with problems coming from the field, co-working with the development team in order to solve as quickly as possible the "hot issues" coming from clients like Morgan Stanley, New York Stock Exchange, London Stock Exchange, eBay or Microsoft.

System networking engineer

Creating automated test-cases and integrating them in test-suites, intended for porting on other hardware platforms, using TCL scripting and iTest Fanfare software.

Testing the capabilities of network equipment in the form of "embedded switches" or "standalone switches", including but not limited to: STP, OSPF, BGP, RIPv2, NTP, platform features, etc. produced by Blade Network Technologies, now a Lenovo Company.

Last week, I ran my first marathon.
Lisbon. 42.2 km of rain, pain, and self-doubt.

It was harder than I imagined, and it broke me in all the right ways.

Around kilometer 35, everything hurt.
My legs, my shoulders, even my confidence.
The 4:30 pacer passed me, and I started bargaining with myself:
“Just make it to the next sign.”

I wanted to stop many times.
But I didn’t.

Not because I was strong, but because my friend stayed beside me the whole way.

He could’ve finished faster, but he didn’t.

He pushed me, joked with me, and reminded me of the mindset I often preach:

Antifragility isn’t built in comfort.

That day taught me more than any leadership course or book ever could.

Here’s what I learned. 👇

1️⃣ You don’t rise to the occasion.
You fall to your level of preparation and to the people beside you.

2️⃣ Discomfort is data.
Every cramp, doubt, or failure shows you where growth begins.

3️⃣ Antifragility is contagious.
Run beside people who can lend you courage when yours runs out.

4️⃣ Finishing matters.
Even if you crawl across the line. Especially then.

5️⃣ Strength isn’t solitary.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is accept help when your ego tells you not to.

When I finally crossed the finish line, it wasn’t triumph I felt first 

It was relief. Then gratitude.

Because real resilience isn’t about speed.

It’s about having the right people beside you.

Some of you will unfollow me today, but that's fine.

As I'll state my opinion on 996 :)

For those of you who don't know the term, the 996 work system refers to working from 9 AM to 9 PM for 6 days a week.

It's a common practice both in China and in Silicon Valley.

And I've seen many people in my feed dismiss it.

But the truth is, it works.

And I will be very blunt.

Most successful people I know work their a**es off.

CEOs, entrepreneurs, or people with a side business.

They work from dawn till dusk.

Should you do it?

It depends on what you want.

And what your priorities are.

Can you have a comfortable life with a 9 to 5?
Absolutely.

If you want to go to the top, though, you have a lot more chances if you outwork people.

It's the same as in sports; the one who trains harder has an edge.
Basic math: more input = more output.

Is it for everyone? Of course not.

It means sacrifice.
From friendships to hobbies and even families.

But it does give you an edge.

In some cases, "work smarter, not harder" is not enough.

You just have to work harder.

The best opportunities in my career didn’t come from plans.
They came from options I didn’t even know I was creating.

For years, I believed growth came from having a clear plan, a path with milestones and predictable steps.

That worked… until it didn’t.

Projects got cancelled. Priorities shifted.
Plans fell apart.

I learned that the best opportunities come from options.

- Building a personal brand online and offline.
- Teaching digital transformation.
- Moving into consulting. 
- Writing a newsletter.
- Doing an MBA.
- Learning AI.


None of these were part of a roadmap.
They were small experiments, doors I opened that changed my direction entirely.

That’s what Nassim Taleb calls optionality:

The ability to benefit from uncertainty instead of fearing it.

Every new skill, connection, or small bet is an option that can reshape your future.

The more options you have, the less fragile you become.

I've build a "wealth tracker" in under a couple of hours, using Lovable. 

It's far from perfect and even ugly from an UI/UX perspective. 

Of course, it's not for building enterprise application but it's never been easier to build a PoC.

Something easy to build and easy to show to your team as a guidance. 

We are entering a new era of Product Development.

Daca esti in stadiul ala, da-le un mesaj. Sunt buni.

De ce atât de multe afaceri mici nu cresc?

Antreprenorii se află adesea în modul de supraviețuire.

Asta creează un paradox: 
Incertitudinea legislativă și resursele limitate forțează decizii reactive, pe termen scurt → Gândirea pe termen scurt descurajează investițiile strategice → Creșterea stagnează, iar resursele rămân limitate
Ciclul se repetă.

Să ieși din acest cerc vicios nu înseamnă să-ți schimbi întreaga abordare peste noapte.

Poate însemna:
✓ Prognoze mobile pe 3-6 luni în loc de planificare rigidă anuală
✓ Monitorizarea a 3-5 indicatori de performanță care contează cu adevărat
✓ Scenarii simple de „ce se întâmplă dacă" pentru riscuri probabile

Instinctele de supraviețuire sunt esențiale. 
Dar provocarea este să construiești în continuare, menținând adaptabilitatea care te-a ajutat să ajungi până aici.
