Manager, Recruitment 

- Lead a team of high-volume Recruiters, HR Associates and contractors (as needed to support volume).  Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to team members.  Facilitate professional development of team members. 

- Collaborate with leadership to identify ways to enhance and improve the recruiting, hiring and onboarding processes.  Lead, facilitate, and support process improvement initiatives.  Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices. 

- Collaborate across Talent Acquisition, Human Resource, Personnel Administration, and Compliance to gain a clear understanding of workforce needs, in particular, in assigned area of responsibility.  Proactively identify ways in which to address those needs holistically. 

- Lead operational efficiency and effectiveness efforts including: pre-employment screens (background, drug, physical abilities, DOT, etc.), I-9s, E-verify, state/federal obligations, etc.

- Ensure all process documentation is accurate and maintained. 

- Manage vendor partner relationships (including search firm relationships) to ensure the Talent Acquisition team can effectively meet customer needs directly or through partnerships. 

- Manage Ameren's Managed Service Program (currently Guidant Group) relationship and background supplier (currently Universal), seek out opportunities to enhance program and educate internal customers.

- Partner with Talent Management leadership to ensure outward facing communications and opportunities to communicate are fully leveraged.  Such as: HR Partners, Leadership Toolkit, HR Central- TA, Scholar, etc.

- Support and lead legal and regulatory issues, including audits.

Supervisor, Talent Acquisition

- Responsible for facilitating Ameren's talent pipeline development activities. This includes maintaining relationships with various sources of prospective candidates, representing Ameren at education institutions (both post-secondary and K-12), actively sourcing military veterans, and facilitating diversity in candidate pools.  

- Represent Ameren and our career opportunities to one or more of the following audiences: Universities, Community colleges, Technical colleges, Interns, high school educators, students, and parents, military veterans, community based and diversity-focused organizations.

- Collaborate with the broader HR team and business segment leadership to develop workforce development solutions which meet the segments' unique workforce needs.

- Design and execute programs, projects, and/or events that support the talent pipeline development strategy and objectives.

- Understand Ameren's business environment and the resulting workforce needs to focus strategic sourcing efforts.

- Support the career fair process which includes coordination across Talent Acquisition and the business segments' Talent Ambassadors.

- Maintain and develop relationships with key representatives at identified recruiting sources (universities, military bases, etc.).

- Proactively identify candidates to build a qualified talent pool in advance of key positions becoming available. Manage the candidate relationship and transfer to recruiters when candidates are ready to hire/position becomes available.

- Communicate with Talent Acquisition team members and the broader HR team regarding the performance of the sourcing activities that are being deployed, suggesting ways to improve practices when there are opportunities to do so.
