Even though my education and work expierence is in logistic, I have been eager to venture in the Digital marketing and web analytics and are actively learning new skills in this field. Seeking to get some experience in it. My former work experience is in Logistics. Here’s what I did at my job (practice) : -I was tracking overland freight transports and reporting the whereabouts upon request; -I was checking the arrival dates of the sea freight transport (containers) and obtaining sea documentation in mutual communication with the specific container transport lines (like CMA CGM/APL, Evergreen line, Transocean, MSC Latvia, Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, COSCO, Overseas Container Line Limited (“OOCLL” branch in Latvia) etc.). -I was the main person handling communication with ports; In addition there was included these skills what was needed to know and take in practical use: -Needed to put data information in specific terminal programm about truck driver and his truck - because in one of the main ports in Latvia there is obligation to be registered that specific truck and their driver which can pick up correct container from the main port. And in this terminal programm account – logistic specialist can generate a unique key codes what is necessary for the truck driver to get into the main port and return to the same port with that container. ----- When one of my favorite motivational speakers Gary Vaynerchuk spoke in his recent(2020/03/31) interview for CNBC.com, he covered his perspective on changing professional field. This struck me and I decided to give it a go. - Then I started to research where I can learn these skills and finally I found out very useful and educational web page – eMarketing Institute where I started to learning these skills and in the end I obtained a certificate of the beginner level in these fields – Web Analytics and SEO. These skills I choosed because I have read it about data analyst or data scientist professions will have a crucial role in the future because in this technology and data century these enormous amount of information needs to be managed and analysed. Then this was my reason why I have started to search all of kind information about Web Analytics and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tools.
