Here’s some practical tips to help you galvanise your heart ❤️and mind 🧠so that your sense of value and confidence is unshakable. 

⚙️𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒: The reality is job seeking is an emotionally draining activity and it can also be a bit of a numbers game. Before you start applying for jobs and falling in love with potential opportunities remind yourself that you are going to get rejections at application and potentially interview stage too.

🪫𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐊: Monitor your emotional tanks level. It can be easy to over do it and burn out. (You might need to give yourself a break and recharge)
 ⛲️Feed the well of your emotional tank. Create a note of all the career wins you’ve had, goals you’ve kicked, people you’ve helped, impact you’ve had. When you see an email that might be a rejection, read that list first to know your value and don’t let one company discourage you. 

𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘: Control the story that you are telling yourself. Our minds have a terrible habit of jumping to doom, doubting ourselves and over analysing our situation. Take control of your internal narrative and tell yourself the truth. 

🫂Get a trusted friend to help you define truth with perspective. When you’re in the thick of it sometimes you need someone external to remind you that you are awesome and the right opportunity is going to come along. 

𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐄: your value and confidence don't have to be tied to these moments.! Don’t let these emails shake the truth of your own value!

Before Andrew Bialecki took Klaviyo public and scaled it to a business currently worth over $6B, he operated with very little capital in the early days and principals around being cash flow positive. He is a first principles thinker that is both a brilliant mind and a tactical operator. 

Some highlights:

→ Hiring Entrepreneurial People
Andrew prioritizes hiring curious, problem-solving individuals who take ownership. In interviews, he starts by exploring a candidate's journey from the beginning of their career - right after college - to get a comprehensive understanding of their past behaviors and skills. This provides more context than focusing solely on recent experience, which might represent less than 10% of a person's life.

→ Promoting Intrapreneurship 
Klaviyo fosters a startup-like culture by enabling employees to launch new projects, almost as mini-startups, within the company. These teams operate autonomously, with periodic reviews based on core metrics, and each team’s P&L is made visible internally. By allowing employees to sink or swim, the approach creates a sense of motivation and fast-paced innovative culture.

→ Klaviyo University
Since employees should be invested in learning, Klaviyo provides the resources. Klaviyo started with a free-book policy and has since escalated to a full blown course catalog of core classes and electives. Every employee completes two key training sessions: one class focuses on understanding Klaviyo's users, and a writing class breaks down business jargon and reinforces effective and clear communication. Klaviyo University now offers a growing selection of electives, enabling employees to explore their interests—from machine learning to marketing—while gaining skills to level up their work.
