𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹: I was born into comfort — my father built Singapore’s largest seafood processing business, but never indulged me. By 18, I had worked as a KFC cook, mall security, sales promoter, and a convention sales lead. Things changed in my first year of university in Australia, when my father's company collapsed in a series of mishaps. He was declared bankrupt, and I had to support myself as a foreign student in the Gold Coast for three years. Through failure, isolation, and adversity over 3 decades, I have learnt the meaning of perseverance, dignity, and reinvention. Life lessons continue to shape me. Today, I thrive in complexity.
