My Dad was right! Before I tell you why, here's some backstory. I was raised with my three sisters in South Philly. Some of my most valuable life lessons were always be compassionate, work hard, always be learning, lead by example and if life knocks you down, get back up - but that sometimes means asking for help. My first jobs were paper girl, cashier, and event staff for Eagles, Flyers & 76ers games - all of which suited my service-first personality. It wasn't until I accepted a position with a family-owned promotional products company that I found my true calling. What was supposed to be a temporary job turned into a career that I truly love. Then in 2012, I found myself out of work and quickly jumped to a corporate version. It was a terrible fit professionally and personally so when I was laid off again, I decided to spend time with my dad while he battled cancer and watched him fight with all of his strength. In January 2014, his battle came to an end. One of the last things he told me was “Linda, you’re so good at what you do. Stop making money for other people and start your own business!" In 2014, I took his advice. Today, I enjoy brainstorming with clients for the most memorable (and unusual) merch. That's the fun part of my job! And don't forget, I also have lots of custom packaging experience. One of the proudest projects of my career - the one that solidified that my dad was right - was helping The World Meeting of Families with 18,000 beautiful custom backpacks for Pope Francis' 2015 visit to Philadelphia. On top of that, I was chosen to be one of three companies given the opportunity to propose a personal gift for Pope Francis himself - still a moment that I am most proud of. Being a business owner is demanding, but also very rewarding. I get to use my creativity, strong supplier relationships, and 25+ years' experience to help businesses and organizations stay top-of-mind. I truly enjoy my work and I'm proud of the many Google Reviews posted by our clients. At the end of each week, my husband and I search for a nature hike where we can dress up our puppies and enjoy a photo shoot. With 13 nieces & nephews, there's always a custom birthday cake to create. Also, my sisters and I founded "Team Toni" in memory of our youngest sister and have raised over $40,000 for the Women's Recovery Community Center. All a chance to recharge and come back refreshed and ready to help your brand shine! Let's chat and don't forget to ask me why I named CFB Promotional Products after my Pomeranians- Creamy, Fudgy & BonBon.
