The Women's Center

For almost fifty years, The Women’s Center has provided mental health counseling, support, and education to the metropolitan area to help people live healthy, stable, and productive lives.

Since The Women’s Center was founded in 1974, we have grown to include services to clients of all gender identities, families, young adults, and children. We now serve over 3,000 people annually at our two locations in Virginia and Washington, DC, and in partner locations. Functioning as a teaching institution for mental health professionals, we provide one of the largest, most prestigious, and most competitive training programs in the region.

I volunteer at in-person events, and also lead virtual workshops on resume building, job searching, and interview tips!

Britepaths

Britepath's Mission is to provide our neighbors in need with short-term safety-net services and empower them to work toward long-term self-sufficiency. Britepaths’ Volunteer Workforce Development program helps Northern Virginia job seekers navigate the job search process and find meaningful employment. 

I support my community through resume writing and editing, interview prep, and LinkedIn profile creation and optimization. I work with participants to improve their job searching strategies and tactics, while also empowering them in their search.
