As a Talent and Benefits Partner...

Talent Management: I created strategic talent management strategies for our global Go To Market Teams and was responsible for full cycle recruitment and the onboarding of new talent. I also advocated for internal mobility by staying abreast our current talent and creating talent maps and internal pipelines. 

Benefits: Once 'PaperCutters' were on board I would help them navigate our benefit offerings and would   benchmark our employee value proposition and benefit programs with new, cutting edge benefits against our employee population, benefit usage, and budget. A notable project was implementing private medical insurance for our UK based employees. 

Learning and Development: I worked with 'PaperCutters' to understand their strengths and ran individual and team coaching and training sessions using the Talent Identify tool. I also created a new interview training for new interviewers helped new managers through the recruitment process.

Global Talent and Benefits Partner

Department for Education

As a Performance and Induction Specialist (Oct 2020-Oct 2021) and Workforce Development Specialist (Oct 2021-Dec 2021) ...

Onboarding and Induction: I maintained the Learning Management Systems (LMS) which housed our new employee induction and was constantly updating it to meet the needs of our school staff across the state. I ran reports from the LMS and followed up with teams' on their induction and if numbers were low, investigated how we could support further, which sometimes included the creation of a personalized induction for a school site. 

Marketing: Our induction included keeping up-to-date with media content and videos and I organized for filming to be done on school sites with Principals, Site Leaders, and Senior Team Members, like the Chief Executive. 

Performance Management: As a South Australian department we reported on our six-month performance check-ins to the Minister - I ran those reports and investigated why some schools were not doing them. I helped schools through the system and facilitated on-site training sessions providing education about the tools available for the importance of developing internal staff members.

Workforce Management: I wrote government briefs for the Chief Executive and assisted with allocating teachers to schools that were in need - There were 30,000 people at the Department that needed to be allocated to schools, which included labor forecasting, absence management, compliance, and analytics.

Department for Trade and Investment

International Recruitment: The Department for Trade and Investment made the decision to hire global trade representatives in five counties - India, Japan, Malaysia, China, Dubai and I managed the project from putting together job competencies, a recruitment and onboarding timeline, sourcing, interviewing, and writing a brief to recommend a hire. Some roles had over 400 applicants that I sifted through and partnered with the Austrade representatives in each location to help with on-site interviews and marketing these new roles.

Recruitment Consultant

Professional Services Recruitment: I partnered with our HR business partners and Partners to understand the talent needs and used creative strategies and networking to bring the best talent to BDO. I coached and worked with a Talent Acquisition Coordinator on grad recruitment and created long-lasting partnerships with CPA Australia in Brisbane.

Telstra

Career Coaching: Telstra was going through a large reduction in their workforce and I coached employees who were looking for their next opportunity. After a wellness check, I'd help them identify their strengths and support them in looking for other roles internally at Telstra, including making suggestions to their applications, mock interview prep, and working with Talent to expedite the internal talent process. I'd also help with external job searching including using my network to help get them on their feet as quickly as possible, identifying gaps and roles that might be a good fit.

Career Transition Specialist 

Navitas

International Recruitment: Navitas was operating in 31 countries and after a large global restructuring they needed to hire 61 people across the globe in a variety of sales roles. I created a project plan including a timeline based on priority, a unique sourcing strategy for each country, including benchmarking salary, becoming familiar with each countries' employment laws, creating job descriptions, job ads, interview questions, and implemented a global background check vendor. It was critical that the process was followed consistently in each country to create alignment in each region and therefore I was the main point of contact for all global hiring teams, ensuring the caliber of hires was assessed at the same level, regardless of location. This also involved creating interview training and in the end, we successfully hired an entire new global sales team.

Employer Branding: Developed brand strategies through social media, online job boards, local career fairs and recruitment events

HR Consulting: Consults with hiring managers throughout the course of a search to provide updates, facilitate candidate debrief discussions and recommend course corrections
