Full Stack Software Engineer

Internship related to my EPFL Master Thesis Project.

  - Development of an engine to automatically generate and host many custom Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) through a simple to use web interface.
   - Building of a system to generate automatically custom Content Management System (CMS) according the generated PWA.
   - Building of a system to create and deploy the microservices architecture (use of docker containers) of each generated PWA in an autonomous manner.
   - Designed and implementation of a system for external developers to easily develop and distribute additional features for the generated PWAs.
   - Heavy usage of webpack, react, node.js, nginx and docker.

With a talented team of 6 people including a mechanical engineer, a microelectronic engineer, a media&interaction designer, an industrial designer, a business woman and me as a software engineer, we aimed to produce a revolutionary connected mailbox lock.
With Aimo turn your traditional mailbox into a deposit box by simply replacing its lock! Now, you are ready to share things with your entourage!
We went to Hong-Kong and Shenzhen (China) to build a first prototype.  We also pitched the product in front of investors present there. 
My main role was to code the iOS app, the firmware of Aimo and the Aimo protocol which lays on top of the bluetooth low energy protocol. I really enjoyed this multidisciplinary project where each one of us brought his expertise to eventually end up with a great MVP!

Lead Software Engineer

Thanks to cameras place all around the volleyball court, this start-up can track each player and the ball. My job was to use those data in order to create a web player allowing anyone to replay the matches. This latest has been used during the FIVB Volleyball World Championship 2014 which took place in Poland and Italy.

EPFL

I developed an iOS app and a RESTful API using spring framework for a platform experimenting with the ‘wisdom of the crowd’ principle. Users were asked to predict the outcomes of various events.

As a TA for the first-year Java course given by Dr. Jamila Sam at EPFL, i helped the students with their code during the exercises sessions. I was also responsible for correcting exams and projects.

I developed a mac OS app for the graphic designers of the company in order for them to be able to create interactive ebooks for iOS. I defined a new ebook format which can include animations, sounds and scripts.
