- Performed a variety of data extraction, cleaning, analysis and visualisation tasks using Power platform ETL tools and JupyterLab Python to support various analytical functions in the Department of Defence.

- Supported the Defence-wide ERP implementation project across the Land Systems Division (CASG) with various technical and administrative tasks.

- Worked in a team of 3 students to cofound a startup under the mentorship of Monash Business School faculty as part of the Fastrack Startup program.

Monash DeepNeuron

- Supervised the High Performance Computing branch at Monash DeepNeuron (40-50 students) and drove its largest expansion since team creation in 2018.

- Organised and carried out HPC project showcases, exhibitions and technology demonstrations to a variety of external stakeholders such as Engineering/IT students, staff and communicated the value of the branch's work to prominent people such as Federal MPs and the Dean of Engineering at Monash. 

- Liaised with stakeholders such as academic researchers, company representatives and external club volunteers to source new engineering & research projects and expand HPC branch’s footprint.

- Established new organisation processes including weekly project communications, project manager selection processes and new recruit training improvements in order to increase branch-wide collaboration and uplift branch capability.

- Directed and supported project managers in technical leadership, project administration and achievement of branch goals along with fostering improved team culture, engagement, and overall member wellbeing.

- Overhauled existing recruitment processes and put new & improved workflows in place along with organising, supervising and carrying out application evaluations and interviews of a large no. of HPC candidates with a team of senior HPC recruiters.

- Assisted team lead and DeepNeuron’s executive team in exploring, planning, and implementing operational and strategic improvements to the student team (aprox. 100-120 members) eg., Notion data migration, communication platform uplift, cross-branch collaboration opportunities, the project marathon initiative, etc…

- Expanded DeepNeuron’s training program (addition of Apache Spark content, more parallel algorithm theory and sophisticated partitioning strategies, etc…) and delivered numerous workshops to onboard new HPC recruits and deliver increased skill and capability for the student team.

HPC Lead

- Performed external data sourcing and extraction for ML-based, at-risk driving behaviour detection in the Connected Vehicles project (Summer 2022-23).

- Researched, planned and implemented a Raspberry Pi 4 based mini-cluster and installed & tested SLURM on it as part of the Cluster Development project (Semester 1, 2023).

- Performed benchmarking of the mini-cluster and prepared & delivered a project update presentation to the entire student team.

- Volunteered for a variety of additional non-technical and leadership tasks such as carrying out HPC demonstrations during exhibitions and assisting with student team recruitment through application marking and candidate interviews.

Coles Group

- Worked in an Agile Cloud Operations team to enable and improve operational performance, reliability, and security of Microsoft Azure services to application engineering teams at Coles.

- Participated in Scrum ceremonies and suggested workflow improvements such as better tracking of technical debt (eg. TDR ratios, cycle times) and better Agile practices i.e., shifting from capacity planning to incremental task allocation during daily stand-ups.

- Took ownership of multiple engineering initiatives such as an Azure Service Retirements workbook (deprecation monitoring tool), Identity Management API onboarding (creating user group management capability within CloudOps team) and the COPS Engine (a CloudOps Function App that consolidates automated Jira Service Management pipelines with increased stability and better security).

- Resolved business-as-usual support tickets and helped implement Coles Cloud governance standards by granting & denying permissions and educating engineers about appropriate Cloud access levels.

- Undertook end-to-end serverless application development which incorporated the use of Terraform, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Python serverless programming and Kudu console troubleshooting to deploy an authentication buffer service in production and increase the security posture of my team.

- Performed Cloud Security Engineering tasks such as disabling the creation of Azure Security Groups by non-admin users to prevent social engineering exploits and improve Azure hygiene.

- Hosted and provided volunteer support for Monash University's outreach events at underrepresented high schools.
