Work-wise my passion is presenting in all its guises: broadcast media, moderating conferences, interviewing a diverse range of people for my talk-show and helping others achieve success in public speaking. My career started with a decade of live TV at Sky News in London - a brilliant training ground. Alongside this, I have presented on many other network channels in the UK and Ireland. 2010-12 brought me to Abu Dhabi, as a trailing spouse. Here I poured my soul into music (piano and singing) and wrote for The National’s weekend magazine. I’ve lived in Luxembourg for the last eight years, where I created RTL Today and now host a weekly show- 'The Lisa Burke Show' - available on RTL Play, Today Radio, Apple Podcasts and Spotify (please subscribe!). Events hosting / moderation is something I adore as I get to know such a variety of subjects with leaders in their respective fields. My specialisms are space and science. Science has continued to weave a thread through my life ever since I studied it at Cambridge University, gaining a double first (specialising in chemistry, but also studied geology, physics and maths). And so, it’s an honour to continue to give back to science as an author and consultant for children’s science books. Adjuncts to my life are acting and voice-overs. And of course, there has always been singing. I have sung with many wonderful choirs including the BBC Symphony Chorus.
