As a member of the Technical Operations Leadership Team, led Business Strategy & Operations function for the global organization and the capabilities within: Program & Project Management, Performance Excellence, Operational Excellence, and Strategic Planning. Led the extended network of Business Strategy & Operations teams from functions and sites to develop global solutions to common problems. 

•	Internal lead and liaison with external consultant company to build the Tech Ops' Global Operating Model (organizational structure, governance model, behaviors/culture). Managed scope and negotiated contract amendments. Post engagement created an overview document to be used for training internal staff.  
•	Partnered with Public Affairs on corporate (internal and external) messaging of key manufacturing success metrics. 
•	In collaboration with my Business Strategy & Operations peers from other Kite functions and HR, launched Kite’s inclusive ways of working.
•	Grew internal Tech Ops Women Leadership network and launched a successful mentoring circle program.
•	Facilitated multiple team development workshops using the Enneagram framework.

Executive Director, Business Strategy & Operations

Genentech / Roche

As a member of the leadership team of this new global function at Roche, served as Chief of Staff to the VP and directed a global group of project managers, administrative assistants and other staff supporting the department's technical experts.

•	Created, documented, and deployed a new process for identifying, evaluating, and implementing technology innovations.

Chief of Staff / Head of Business Operations, PT Innovation, Technology & MSAT

As Chief of Staff to the VP of the global department at Roche, facilitated leadership team meetings and goal setting while building and leading a global team of project managers and coordinators to support technical projects and initiatives.

•	Staffed, trained, and coached a global team of contract and regular employees who managed a variety of technical projects (technology transfers, implementation of new equipment, investigating and finding solutions to quality problems) and technical teams spanning sites, geographies, and cultures.
•	Created a Business Operations partner (i.e., Chief of Staff) role and matched my team members to my leadership team peers (Senior Directors) and aligned on approaches while allowing for customization to that leaders’ style.
•	Championed the Roche implementation of lean within my team and the broader department, coaching individuals and teams.

Chief of Staff / Head of Business Operations, Global MSAT and Global Packaging Development

As a founding member of this new global function at Roche, facilitated all leadership team meetings, development of strategy and goals, and team buildings. Led a small group of contractors to create the tools and processes to support the packaging engineers.

•	Led the design, development, training, and implementation of the global packaging development business process and supporting tools. 
•	Created and published status reports to stakeholders.

Operational Excellence, Global Packaging Development

As part of a department reorganization, directed a group of packaging engineers in Basel, Switzerland on an ad interim basis and in addition to my primary responsibilities.

•	Participated in the staffing of several roles in the department including the permanent head of the department. Coached existing staff on their personal development and reorganized assignments to create more challenging, fulfilling work.
•	Engaged with stakeholders to understand their needs in order to enhance relationships.
•	Created a catalog of existing primary packaging materials to assist our internal customers (product developers) in faster decision making.

Ad Interim Head of Non-Steriles, Global Packaging Development

Roche Pharmaceuticals

Led Roche’s Temperature Controlled Supply Chain (TCSC) Global Expert Team. Championed and led projects in related areas.

•	Post Roche-Genentech integration restaffed the Global Expert Team core team and extended members. Established strategy and implementation plan for both cold chain (2-8⁰C) and controlled room temperature product storage and shipment that would manage risk and cost.
•	Co-authored new quality management documents for warehousing and shipping.
•	Led a sourcing project to standardize the company (Roche and Genentech) on a single temperature monitoring device.
•	Launched project to update Roche’s stability records for controlled room temperature products.

Temperature Controlled Supply Chain Program Lead, Global Logistics

Genentech, Inc.

Directed commercial drug product distribution in the US, with oversight of internal and contracted distribution centers. Directed global transportation of drug products, drug substances, and raw materials.

•	Established Genentech’s Cold Chain Committee to create an aligned approach to storage, handling, and shipping of temperature sensitive raw materials, drug substances, and drug products.
•	Implemented Oliver Wight Class A standards and Lean approaches in the distribution centers.

Associate Director of Logistics

Baxter International

Multiple roles with progressive level of responsibility including 5 years as the Materials Manager for one of the largest manufacturing sites, member of the plant leadership team, was responsible for procurement, supplier management, warehousing and material handling, scheduling and planning. Participated in several IT projects as interface between business and IT and led a group of business analysts and data integrity experts. From various roles, led global cross-functional teams to improve operational performance, reduce costs, or increase capacity.
