I have taught 50+ courses at the university level, for both undergraduate and graduate students. My courses focus mainly on integration of media and digital learning in teaching, helping educators develop anti-oppressive and anti-racist teaching praxis, and facilitating student engagement. I supervise graduate students and facilitate workshops for faculty and students on a variety of issues.

This year I was honoured to be asked to be a keynote panel speaker for the Jeanne Sauvé Forum Series on Social Connectedness and International Development held in Montreal. The topic of our panel was: "Teaching with Compassion: Holistic Approaches to Building Community in the University Classroom”

I was also delighted to speak at Concordia University's  Symposium in the Department of Education as part of a panel on  "Breaking barriers: Language, culture and technology in education" (2015) in which I discussed the importance of taking into account the emotionality of learning in blended learning situations.

 2018 - Winner of the Heather Reisman and Gerald Schwartz Award for Teaching Excellence

Faculty Lecturer, Researcher (Full-time faculty position)

Worked with Indigenous partner education organizations to develop and run teacher education programs,  managed course instructors, worked with Ministry of Education officials and administration at McGill to ensure teacher candidate program requirements were met, created and sustained relationships with school boards and communities

Director -First Nations and Inuit Education

Developed and organized learning symposiums for First Nations and Inuit youth, coached and managed staff and volunteers, managed private donor budget ($250,000) for the program.

Director - Initiative for Diversity and Global Education

Taught and managed multiple sections of undergraduate and graduate classes (up to 250 students per section),  coached and mentored teaching assistants

In my consulting practice,  I work with post-secondary institutions, as well as organizations in both the private and non-profit sectors. Some of the services I offer include: teaching and learning consulting, curriculum and content development, focus groups and program evaluation research, orientation for new instructors, teacher education, workshop facilitation, working with boards of education in Indigenous communities, creating teaching and learning videos and other materials,  coaching faculty in instructional design and developing strategies for student engagement.

My work within organizational development includes e-learning technologies, workshop facilitation, coaching facilitators, authoring employee handbooks and job descriptions, creating effective training and development materials and adult education strategies.
