Additionally I work 50% as a Nurse researcher and educator at Levanger Hospital where I work with innovation and research projects. Currently I work most with sepsis and improvement projects and systems for talking between hospital kitchen and bedside staff in order to prevent malnutrition

Nurse Researcher and Educator in the Department of Intensive Care. Main responsibility was to supervise nurses in use and implementation of evidence based nursing. I also supervised in clinical projects from idea to publication. The nurses I supervised worked in The General Intensive Care, The Pediatric Intensive Care, The Post Operative Ward, the Recovery Ward and the Pain clinic.

Assistant Professor in the Intensive Care Nurse Program. Main responsibility was supervising students in their ICU practice, teaching in subjects like hemodynamics and ICU monitoring and advanced patient care.

Intensive Care Nurse in the Department of Thorax Surgery, Rikshospitalet. The department has national responsibility for withborn heart anomalies, adult lung and heart transplantation. The department also takes care for patients when they need life saving mechanical support as a bridge to transplant.

Researcher, innovator, nurse, editor in chief 

I am a associate professor at Faculty of Nursing and Public Health at Nord University, researcher at Department of Computer Science at NTNU and editor in chief at Sykepleien Forskning. My main research areas are 1) mental health as risk factor for cardiovascular health; 2) risk factors of sepsis and 3) clinical research. I also teach nursing students and am a proud supervisor for PhD students.

In addition, I work as a nurse researcher and educator in Nord-Trøndelag Hospital Trust doing own research, working with innovation and advising other nurses in projects from idea to publication/ presentation. 

I have worked as a nurse (since 1994), as an intensive care nurse (since 2000) and also as a teacher in the intensive care training program and in the bachelor of nursing program. In between, I have done some additional consultant work for educational material in nursing and as a reviewer.
