"Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.” – Oscar Wilde One of the most exclusive accolades in the entertainment industry is being known as an EGOT – a winner of an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. There is a reason why I am known as an administrative EGOT. I am very proud of my award-worthy career as an executive assistant, project coordinator, and event manager in many different industries, including banking, advertising, personal care/beauty, wellness, and pharmaceutical. What does my EGOT status represent? E – Efficiency: Wrangling delegations of attendees to a conference when it comes to event registrations and hotel bookings can lead to confusion and delays that can cost hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. I achieved the "E" using Microsoft Forms and Excel. I created internal registration forms at Bristol-Myers Squibb to reduce the loss of “early bird” registration discounts and eliminate hotel room redundancies and saving the company an average of 20% per conference. G – Growth Mindset: Every job I’ve held as an administrative professional has been a step forward in my development rather than a lateral move. In my time at RMG Networks, I was hired to manage an entire 10-person office and support a vice president of sales. Over my four years with the company, my responsibilities grew steadily to not only managing two offices in Manhattan but add event management to my repertoire. Along with the events management promotion, I secured a full scholarship from the company to study Events and Entertainment Marketing at the NYU School of Professional Studies. O – Outside-the-Box Thinking: When my entire executive team at digital advertising agency RMG Networks found themselves stranded in Denver while traveling to a retreat in Aspen, I utilized a credit the company had at a nearby resort to relocate the retreat in an hour, complete with sleeping/meeting rooms, AV services and catering with nearly no out-of-pocket costs. T – Tenacity: When the Grammy award-winning band Train worked with the San Francisco charity Family House on a fundraiser, I used Train's appearance on the Today Show to promote the campaign through eye-catching posters during the live broadcast. The poster I created - with all of the information about the charity - was frequently on TV, leading to an increase in the total amount raised by $35,000 in less than a week. Right now, I am looking for the next step in my career that will allow me to continue to make an impact on any company that is knowledgeable and quick to see the value of my skills.
