Universities Fighting World Hunger

Member of students coordinating media coverage and implementing marketing strategies to raise awareness for the fight against world hunger, as well as promoting student attendance to the 2016 Universities Fighting World Hunger Conference.

Joining the fight against childhood hunger within the community. Currently committed to aid the organization with food distribution and packaging for the Buddy Pack system. Hoping to further help the community by utilize social media and marketing strategy to further the word about Buddy Packs with the end goal focused on feeding as many hungry children as possible.

Mountain Pet Rescue

Rehabilitating animals in need and preventing dogs in high kill shelters from being euthanized by giving them a temporary place to call home. Aided organization with training and adoptability of animals and eventually adopted my own.

Product data expert | AI baddie in training | CPG + restaurant systems native

At Walmart right now, which is rare for me. I’m intentional about where I spend my money and usually shop with retailers that align with my values.

Today was an exception. I’m meal prepping for caretakers supporting my terminal mother-in-law, and Walmart was the only place nearby that carried one specific item I needed.

Got to checkout and realized they don’t take tap-to-pay. No wallet on me, just my phone and I’m running late.

It’s wild that a retailer of this size still hasn’t solved something this basic. Tap-to-pay is table stakes. When you operate at this scale, small points of friction become very loud. Customer experience isn’t always about innovation — sometimes it’s just about removing the obvious barriers.

Well that’s interesting. This is not the first time my name has been associated with the word Catalyst.

Question for ya: Are we over-indexing on innovation, when the real shift is how consumers are evaluating value?

As we looked ahead to 2026, these themes kept surfacing across categories:
1️⃣ Function is expected
2️⃣ Clean label is assumed
3️⃣ Indulgence needs a reason
4️⃣ Benefits are getting narrower
5️⃣ Science is doing more of the convincing

None of these feel radical on their own — but together, they suggest a very different bar for growth.

We knew it wouldn't last right?

Not sure if you saw the news but today Instacart is putting an end to its AI-driven pricing tests. It’s an interesting moment for retail and retail media.

The issue wasn’t just “AI pricing.” It was trust.

Shoppers were seeing different prices for the same item at the same store. Even if the tests weren’t based on personal data, the lack of transparency created confusion and backlash.

What stood out to me is what this highlights more broadly:
When foundational product data and signals aren’t clear, structured, and trusted, everything downstream gets harder — pricing, media efficiency, discoverability, and ultimately shopper confidence.

Retailers and brands are under pressure to be more precise and more efficient. But this moment is a reminder that how you get there matters just as much as the outcome. Transparency, explainability, and guardrails aren’t “nice to have” anymore - they’re table stakes.
