Working as part of the community organising team, I worked with Labour Party members to run electoral & issue campaigns by using traditional organising, digital tools and social media. My role involved building links with community organisations and using digital tools to organise activists around campaigns, whilst working with candidates to communicate effectively using digital media.

I wrote & deliver targeted digital strategies for candidates and have trained in Adobe Premiere & other video software as well as learning the skills to script & film footage.

My other duties included planning & managing events & political visits, managing social media accounts, building relationships with party and activist stakeholders, training volunteers and building teams.

Managed all events & venue activity of live music, club & arts venue Gwdihw Cafe Bar.

From strategically managing programming & marketing, duty managing events, building stakeholder relationships, managing & training staff and handling event finances.
Overseeing event projects, from creative to delivery, I created dozens of successful event brands, from clubnight and live music to food and comedy quizzes. 

Managed events booking systems, including improving website enquiries, managing content management system and used Adobe Photoshop for design & creative work.

Maintained & increased relationships across stakeholders, promoter & artists and developed communications with new agents, event vendors and develop programmes for artist, promoter and creative development, especially building with student audiences.

Responsible for overseeing all marketing strategy and delivering of social media, print, press and advertising across club, live music & restaurant trade. Trained and managed events staff across 3 venues to help deliver social media plans, including creating new event brands/rebranding venue and using advertising to target new audiences.

Created and manage 10-15 new social media brands across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as well as growing mailing lists & using targeted Facebook/Instagram advertising. Organising and updating brand assets and scheduling social media for brands.

Delivering content plan for print, website & social media of Swn Festival 2013, a multi-venue weekend live music & arts festival across Cardiff. Commissioning & editing magazine content for festival magazine, copywriting, proofing, blogs, wordpress editing, design, social media & other marketing duties.

Managed & delivered 84 page feature magazine to promote festival, including recruiting & managing copywriting team, proofreading, working with artists and venues and generating advertising. Magazine delivered to strict deadline 3 weeks before Festival weekend.

Gwyl Pili Pala Festival

Working for WGCADA, a drug and alcohol abuse charity, I helped organise and administrate a new music and literary festival in Swansea in support of the charity across 6 venues, Gwyl Pili Pala.
 
• Pitched article ideas to Magazines, blogs, newspapers, radio stations and other publications as well as organising interviews with artists. Organised interviews and coverage on several BBC Radio Wales programmes, including Bethan Elfyn, Jamie Owens as well as Oystermouth Radio. Print coverage included Western Mail, Buzz magazine, South Wales Evening Post, Swansea Siren, The Waterfront and Llanelli Star amongst many other publications and websites.
• Secured an interview with WGCADA patron Michael Sheen, which I undertook and which appeared in the Wales on Sunday as part of the festival coverage. http://bit.ly/17gsElv
• Produced preview copy for www.pilipala.org website.
• Managed and compiled press accreditation of dozens of print, blog and broadcast journalists, plus organised competitions for several websites including Buzz Magazine, The Siren and Wales Online.
