Hello and welcome. If you're seeing this, you likely have questions about what I do, etc. Let's dive into it! Who have I worked with in the past? I've worked with the following industries: Hospitality Retail State social workers Teachers and school administration (elementary through college for those in the USA, primary through secondary up to uni for those who may live elsewhere) Non-profits Medical professionals--therapists, primary care physicians for adults, pediatricians, psychiatrists, How'd I get started in this field? I was working as a housekeeper at a hotel and had been there for 2 years. The owner to saw me as someone with authority and insight into his staffing issues. He asked what I thought could help reduce turnover. I made a suggestion relating to scheduling and he chose to use it. Employee turnover went from every 6 weeks to 6 months minimum, with the average being 18 months. I've been doing Foundational Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work since then. Why don't I have a picture up of myself? I am asked this a lot. TL;DR I am a trans man. The drawing that is visible for my avatar is the very first picture that I ever saw as myself. That was drawn for me in 2019. Longer answer: The body I was born into is not the one that my soul fit. I'd known it all my life and it became actively challenging to see any reflective surface without feeling extreme anxiety and depression leading up things that require trigger warnings. I lived most of my life in a dark place and all of that vanished when I was able to live authentically. I simply don't have many photos that are of me as I am now. What do I do for businesses/business people? I help business professionals wrap their heads around diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace without feeling like they're doing it wrong. My work focuses on Foundational Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). It's the stuff that most people dub the "Little Things" that have had the following impacts: Increased Employee Retention: 6 week retention increased to an average of 18 months at the hotel I worked at. The last retail store I worked with saw their retention go from 3 months to an average of 12 months. Increased sales/fundraising: Retail sales went from $45,000 avg per month to $75,000 two weeks after I trained the staff. Monthly sales remained constant between $80,000-$85,000 for two years. A bake sale at a non-profit I worked with went from $149 nightly to $350. Both of these without raising prices. And more but there's a limit on what I can write. lol
