But the best part of Copy Chief is our online forum. Copywriters from all over the world gather there to test their skills, encourage one other, find job opportunities, compete in copywriting challenges, and grow as writers. Freelance copywriters or entrepreneurs, beginners or experts, we all have one thing in common: We're passionate about mastering the craft of copy. 

As Community Leader at Copy Chief, I get to fuel this machine of energy as I grow in my own copywriting skills. 

My day-to-day work is focused on managing our ever-growing forum, improving our member retention, coaching members and offering critiques, writing emails and forum copy, and keeping the forum organized and streamlined.

Voted Best on the Bay in Pensacola, Florida, Hartman Photography is a family-focused business serving the community through a wide range of portrait photography.
At Hartman Photography I learned how to work under pressure like nothing else. Starting at 6:00 AM some mornings, we took pictures of roughly 300 kids plus teachers by 10:30. This honed teamwork ability: pairing up with coworkers to shoot hundreds of portraits in a short amount of time. Interpersonal skills were necessary: many kids are terrified of school portraits and it required quick thought and personal desire to keep every child safe and happy. 
My work at the office included sorting through payments, editing portraits, and making phone calls. I learned how to set up and take down lighting, solve problems in a way that created the highest customer satisfaction, and create value for the business every day. The experience was invaluable to my career.

At the age of 13, I began the fast-paced adventure of raising dogs. This was an invaluable experience, as it taught me in months concepts that it takes most years to establish. I acquired discipline as I got up every morning at 6:00 to do preliminary work with my dogs before doing school for the day. Some mornings during the winter I had to lug five gallon buckets of water out to the kennels because the pipes outside were frozen. But I learned that hard work is absolutely worth it! I established sales and people skills, learned to watch patterns so as to dictate my next marketing move, and earned the pride of a job well done as I watched countless happy families leave with a forever companion. Besides, who doesn't feel a sense of satisfaction when he takes a walk every morning with a trail of Golden Retrievers in tow?
