The Commons

With over 1,500+ alumni from around the world, The Commons provides education, mentorship and community all-in-one to accelerate careers in the Tech industry. Our unique learning model enables ambitious professionals to learn directly from mentors who work at top Tech companies like DoorDash, Shopify and Uber to mimic on-the-job learning.

Launched in 2020. Raised from awesome Canadian and US VCs and Angels. Served over 1500+ alumni and 200+ mentors. Exited in 2023 to a SaaS company in the online learning space.

Valence

I built out and led the Business Operations and People functions at Valence. Joined Valence as an early-hire generalist. Worked closely with the C-level team (ex-McKinsey, ex-Bridgewater) on everything People & Ops, as well as special projects / strategic initiatives.

Goodmans LLP

Associate in the Corporate Restructuring group, Canada’s top-ranked Restructuring & Insolvency practice. Cross-appointed to the firm’s Corporate group. My practice was focused on transactional work. Worked on complex restructurings, recapitalizations, M&A and related transactions for public and private corporations on both the corporate and litigation sides.

Deeply involved in various culture initiatives at the firm. Year of call rep; Led the firm’s flagship event, United Way week, raising +$200K; Mentor for summer students and involved in student recruitment; Champion of initiatives to improve the articling and associate programs. Love Goodmans!
