Excellent understanding of the localisation objectives of the South African government, especially in terms of the targets and guidelines prescribed in Mining Charter III.
Monthly and annual Executive & Management Reports, including statistical and risk analyses, as well as projects status reports.

Lorna Ernst has been consulting to mining companies in socio-economic development and social compliance, such as Mining Charter, Social and Labour Plans and B-BBEE, across South Africa, since 2009.  

She gained extensive experience in Enterprise and Supplier Development as well as Risk and Compliance Management working for an International Mining Company from 2015 to 2021.

She holds a Honours Degree in Sociology and currently works as a freelance consultant in research, risk and compliance reporting, with an excellent understanding of MCIII's localisation objectives, procurement transformation strategies, stakeholder engagement and socio-economic project development/ implementation, as aligned to the relevant international requirements (WBO, IFC). 

Her interests include: ESG and GRI reporting & linkages to community development, labour violation risks awareness, and protection of the environment. Leadership conferences, coaching, travel, writing, languages, gardening, hiking and ballet
