My responsibilities at Li & Fung included......

- Managing the Product Development and the Design of the Women's lines for their US clients. 
- Product development

-  Fabric and Trim sourcing 
- Providing Design support for the teams based in New York.
- Working closely with nominated garment factories to ensure Design integrity, fit, and production viability.
- Regular travel to head offices, suppliers, and factories in China for sample development, and to source and develop the newest product.
-  Frequent trips to Korea and Japan for trend research to build creative direction for Women's wear Presentations.
- Working closely with the Shanghai-based merchandising teams to ensure trends are being pushed whilst maintaining price points and margins.
- Overseeing the daily operations of departments, liaising on a daily basis with the team in the USA.

Head of Design and Product Development

ASOBIO

Based in the Shanghai Design Studio and reporting to the Creative Director, my key responsibilities included:

- Creatively led and motivated a design team of 10 Designers, ranging from Design Assistant level to Senior Designer, to achieve trend-led commercial products to tight deadlines.
- Trend Analysis and forecasting, creating mood, colour, print, graphics, and key fabrication direction for presentation to the Creative Director on a monthly basis.
-   Continuously liaising with the Buyers and Merchandising teams to identify key monthly looks.
- Liaising with the Production and Merchandising team to work on factory allocation, then working closely with the factories to ensure the integrity of the design detail and quality.
-  Attending daily fit sessions with the Buyers to ensure the fit and viability of the product from 1st fit through to the pre-production sample.
- Working with the press, marketing, and buying teams on looks for seasonal advertising campaigns and promotional videos.
