Director / Principal & Venture General Manager

Louis is a General Manager and Lead Venture Architect at BCG Digital Ventures, Boston Consulting Group’s digital innovation, business build and venture capital group.

Louis leads cross-disciplinary teams to launch a series of stand-alone ventures and new business units. Select ventures include: 
• Led the investment, strategy and go-to-market to launch an at-scale fintech solution for the underbanked population in Mexico to capture a $5B opportunity for Mexico's largest retailer.
• Built and launched an energy procurement marketplace to capture the $40B market for energy related services in the U.S. Built and launched an electrical demand response platform for under-served markets. 
• Defined strategic investment areas (startups / new business concepts) to drive revenue and increase efficiency for a variety of clients, including a Norwegian telco and a U.S. based tech conglomerate.

• Led strategy and business build for B2B energy procurement marketplace (launched in Texas in 2018) to capture the $40B market for energy related services in the U.S.
• Led team developing a demand response solution for large utility to transform consumer's homes into energy generators for electricity grid optimization (launched in New Orleans in 2019)

Managed the smart home, IoT and strategic partnership initiatives at Farmers Insurance, one of America’s largest P&C insurance firms:
• Product development, capital/market analysis and execution of new insurance products within Internet of Things (IoT)
• Brought two new products (Pet Insurance and TrueCar) to market within first year, increasing sales YoY by 245%
• Increased new product revenue by updating product pricing models, web enhancements for customers and expanding cross-sell campaigns for sales agents across all new product lines
• Devised connected home/telematics strategy and go-to-market plans for 2016 roll-out, leading a cross-functional team of 20 across IT, product development, marketing, sales, legal, business intelligence and external vendors
