I stopped believing in “we all own it.”

I Come From a Working-Class Family
My parents gave up everything

I didn’t celebrate.
I just breathed.

Month eight, my first long-term client.
Year two, things changed.

I stopped undercharging.

Built systems.
Learned to say no.
Started treating it like a business, not survival.

Today, I have a small team.
Clear processes.
A waiting list.

That’s what I’m building now.

My father gave me survival.
I’m giving him legacy.

We don’t get paid second chances.

But that pressure?
It also builds something rare.

Doubt ran through me, heavier because I was the only girl child & my family depended on me. That night, I almost wanted to quit my MBA.

Two years ago, I sat for my first introductory class during MBA and I froze.

The professor was talking about different technological advances.
Everyone around me had confident answers, 
I had nothing but doubt..

That night, I almost quit.

But my father said something that changed everything: "You're not doing this because you already know everything. You're doing this to BECOME everything you're capable of being."

Here's what my MBA journey actually taught me:
→ That 2 AM breakdown during finals? It led to a study group that became my support system for life.
→ That failed startup pitch? Taught me more about resilience than any textbook.
→ That networking event where I practiced my elevator pitch 17 times? Connected me with a mentor who's now a close friend.

The real transformation wasn't in the frameworks or financial models.

It was in:

• The humility to know when to listen
• A global network I can call family
• Understanding who I am and what I want to build

Was the MBA worth it?
Yes. But not for the reasons I expected.
The journey transformed who walks through them.

To anyone considering this path: It won't be easy. There will be long nights and tough feedback. But if you show up authentically and embrace the full experience, you'll discover the transformation is worth every challenge.

The best investment you can make is in yourself.

Most creators never built a system that could survive real life.

They post when they feel inspired.
They get a bit of traction and assume momentum will carry them.

But momentum is fragile.
Eventually, work gets demanding. 

Clients need attention. Energy dips. 
A week goes by without posting. Then another. And suddenly, the platform feels cold, unforgiving, and “different” than before.

So they conclude the algorithm changed.
It didn’t.

What changed was the absence of structure once motivation disappeared.

The creators who last on LinkedIn aren’t more creative or more obsessed with content.

They’re simply more prepared for the inevitable moments when life interrupts their plans.

They don’t rely on how they feel on a random Tuesday to decide whether they show up. 

Their content exists before the pressure does. Their ideas are written in advance. 

Their system keeps working quietly, even when they’re busy doing the work that actually pays the bills.

Batching and planning aren’t productivity tricks. 

They’re what separate people who grow for a few months from people who build something durable over years.

Because consistency doesn’t come from discipline. Consistency comes from designing a system that doesn’t require daily enthusiasm to function.

That’s the part most people skip.

Running an agency looks glamorous.
Until you actually run one.

Everyone sees the freedom.
The clients.
The “founder life.”

Here’s the part they don’t see:
• You don’t work less. You work differently.
 • You’re not your own boss. You manage many.
 • More clients don’t fix problems. Systems do.
 • Creativity is the smallest part of the job.
 • “Just make it viral” is not a strategy.

 • Scaling isn’t growth. Controlled scaling is.
 • Freedom comes after structure, not before.

Running an agency isn’t passive income.
It’s active responsibility.

Messy.
Demanding.
But, worth it.

I’d open LinkedIn, read brilliant posts, and think:
What could I possibly add?

Here’s the truth most people miss:

→ the client who pushed back and what you learned

That’s not replicable.

Stop trying to be the first to say something.

What’s a lesson you learned the hard way that no framework ever taught you?

The 60-minute window that actually killed my post!

I hit publish at 9 AM on a Tuesday.
My post? Solid. Hours of research. Clean formatting. Value-packed.

By 10 AM, I had 12 likes.
I refreshed. Still 12.

That's when I realized: It was already dead.

See, LinkedIn doesn't care how good your post is at hour 3.
It cares about what happened in hour 1.

My post got screened first (spam check, link check, hashtag overload check.)
I passed.

Then came the test.
LinkedIn showed my post to maybe 100 people. A tiny slice of my network.

Those people? They scrolled past.
No comments. No shares. Just a few pity likes.

LinkedIn's algorithm saw that and made a decision: This isn't worth showing to more people.
By noon, my post was invisible.

Meanwhile, my competitor posted at the same time.
Same topic. Worse writing, honestly.
But in his first hour?
30 comments. 15 shares. His network went wild.

LinkedIn's algorithm saw that and decided: Let's blast this everywhere.
By evening, she had 10,000 views.


I had 247.
The difference wasn't the content.
It was the first 60 minutes.

Because after LinkedIn tests your post with a small group, it looks at:
How fast people engaged
Who engaged (your authority matters)
The type of engagement (comments > likes)

Great content gets you past the spam filter.
But early engagement gets you reach.

This is the failure that broke me quietly!

I dropped the one thing I loved most.
And it quietly broke me for years.

It wasn’t a failed business.
It wasn’t a lost client.

It was Mathematics Honours in my first year of college.

I’d loved math since I was a child. It was the only thing that felt like mine.
But I couldn’t crack it.

I stared at problems I knew I should be able to solve, and the numbers just stared back.
So I dropped it.
Switched to a general BSc degree.
And I told everyone it was a practical choice.

“Math doesn’t have career options without more degrees.”
“I need to start earning to support my family.”
All true.

But the truth underneath was that I felt like a failure.
For years, that quiet shame followed me.

The feeling that I wasn’t smart enough….
That I’d given up on my one true passion

It’s a different kind of grief, letting go of a dream for practical reasons.
But here’s the lesson that took me a decade to learn:

Your path doesn’t have to be linear to be valid.

Dropping math led me into the online world.
It led me to freelancing.
To building an agency.

To this life I have now, where I get to solve different kinds of problems for founders.
I’m still a problem-solver.
The language just changed from numbers to words.

Hot take: In 2026,If you’re a founder, CXO, or leader & you’re not shaping the narrative around yourself, someone else will and they won’t get it right.

Your company isn’t judged in isolation anymore.
 
Investors Google you.
Top talent scrolls before they apply.
Partners form opinions before the first handshake.

And if they can’t see how you think?
They assume you’re either undecided, inexperienced, or irrelevant.

That’s why the biggest operators still show up.

It creates inbound you can’t manufacture.

They just don’t know you exist.
You don’t need to post motivational quotes.

You don’t need to be “viral.”
You need to be legible.
Intentional.
Impossible to misinterpret.

Okay sir, tighten your seatbelt, because this flight of opinions is about to take off.
 
See, I just completed my MBA.
And while I was doing that, I was also running my business, building my personal brand, creating content,
and handling my own expenses plus helping my family.
 
And you’re telling me we’re lazy?

I think what people call “lazy” nowadays is actually selective energy.
 
We just don’t waste time on things that don’t align anymore.
 
You say we’re on our phones all day
yes, because we’re literally building our careers through that screen.
 
Networking, Creating, Selling, Learning....
 
The same phone that you think is “wasting time” is the reason half of us are earning in our early 20s.
 
And honestly?
This is the first generation that’s not scared to experiment.
 
We start side hustles in hostels.
We create content from classrooms.
We learn from YouTube instead of waiting for someone to teach us.
 
The previous generation was taught to follow the path.
We’re the ones building new ones sometimes failing, sometimes flying.
 
So no this isn’t a lazy generation.
This is a generation that works smart, takes risks,
and still manages to have fun while doing it.
 
Maybe that’s what makes people uncomfortable, we’re doing too many things, too early, and too unapologetically! 🤍

You don’t need a loud brand.

And obsession isn’t about time.

It’s about staying long enough for the result to have no choice but to appear.

You’re not in a gym.

Here’s the truth I’ve learned running companies at scale: growth doesn’t come from comfort. Influence doesn’t come from safety. Deals don’t close because your posts are “safe” or “inspiring.”

What actually works is this:
Be uncomfortably yourself. Share your perspective, even if it’s unpopular.
Stop editing for approval. People trust clarity over politeness.

Show your thinking. How you make decisions, what you prioritize, what patterns you see before others do.

That’s how attention compounds. That’s how opportunities find you. That’s how million-dollar outcomes start before anyone signs a deal.
