As the Head of Institutional Relations at CENACE, Mexico’s independent system and market operator, I lead a strategic unit which coordinates the organization's international and governmental affairs and engages key stakeholders across different levels and domains. With over 21 years of experience entirely developed in the energy industry in Mexico and abroad, I possess deep expertise in energy policy, regulation, planning, and cooperation, as well as a strong network of contacts and partners in the public and private sectors, in Mexico and abroad. My mission is to provide strategic knowledge and insights to the organization's leader on emerging global energy and electricity trends, and to foster cooperation and long-term positive relationships with relevant actors and institutions. Some of my main accomplishments include founding CENACE's Institutional Relations Unit in 2016, leading a research project on LNG trade across Asia-Pacific, and authoring several institutional publications on unconventional oil and gas, smart grids, and energy transition. A holder of multiple research awards, professional certifications and recognitions from national governments, I am passionate about promoting sustainable and innovative solutions that advance global dialogue and adress the energy sector's major challenges.
