As an experienced front-end developer, I am passionate about creating websites that offer exceptional user experiences, with an emphasis on accessibility and performance. Over the last few years I have worked mainly with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, TypeScript and Next.js. I also have experience with various forms of CSS (SCSS, CSS modules, styled components) as well as testing tools and frameworks including Jest, Cypress and Playwright. I have a particular interest in Design Systems and I have hands-on experience in building both UI and functional systems from the ground up. Using tools like Design Tokens and Storybook to create systems that are scalable as well as easy to maintain long term. I enjoy experimenting with the latest technologies and strive to bring a balance of technical skill and design acumen to every project I work on. In my spare time, I like to share my knowledge through creating content online and sharing it with the dev community. My favourite topic is CSS as I like to challenge myself and find ways to simplify common components and re-create them without JavaScript. I also enjoy being creative and exploring UI and graphic design through a variety of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and more recently Figma and Procreate.
