The very first class of the Master of Science in International Management, the Professor told us: "Ok folks, one third of you'll end up in Investment Banking, another third in Strategy consulting, the last third in Big companies". He wasn't right after all, as at least one person (guess who) decided to work in Startups. I started my career a few weeks after that class, working with Startup Geeks, an Italian ed-tech startup. There, managing the top-product in terms of revenues, I really learned what it means going from 0 to 1, building a brand from scratch, and struggling every day to find PMF. Getting to €1 million in revenue felt like climbing Mount Everest. After a year, it was time to level up. I followed the gut (and the stomach), joining Poke House, an international food tech scaleup in the hyper-growth phase. Different sizes, different challenges, and different objectives. Scaling up brings a lot of issues, and as a Project Manager I am seeing them all. But I'm learning a lot, working with extremely talented people, and having a lot of fun. In my free time, I still work with ambitious founders willing to validate and launch their business ideas in the F&B and Retail industry.
