I help others analyze the impacts of maintenance 🛠 and resources 💰 on the life cycle of critical physical assets, including: ▪︎ ships 🚢 ▪︎ planes 🛩 ▪︎ manufacturing equipment 🏗 ▪︎ large utilities 🏭 📊 Covering what is traditionally known as Supportability Analysis, I specialize in the highly impactful topics of Maintenance Task Analysis and Level of Repair Analysis. This stuff is VERY powerful for making life cycle decisions that support significant cost avoidance in the magnitudes of millions of dollars (e.g., 💵1.6M in one case). I am also a principal life cycle engineer for the COLUMBIA submarine program, responsible for integrated logistics support efforts, including reliability engineering, maintenance, provisioning, training, and configuration management. I'm a guest lecturer on Maintenance Disrupted, Rob's Reliability Podcast, Rooted in Reliability Podcast, UE Systems, Fluke, and an Assistant Professor of Engineering Management and Systems engineering at Old Dominion University.
