I worked with Solv-e Agency, led by Tammy Silva, who managed client requests and team coordination excellently. Our team consisted of a Project Manager, UI/UX Designer, Content Researcher, Copywriter, and myself as the Front-end Developer.

My responsibilities were creating a responsive CSS/HTML structure, converting design layouts to HTML/CSS/JavaScript, implementing custom modal popups, forms, animations, and API integrations, and choosing/configuring a new hosting server. I used JavaScript, PHP, WordPress CMS, and Oxygen Builder. After finishing the new site, I kept the site working, performing site maintenance and updates.

I created specific HTML templates for email marketing that were compatible with all devices. As a side task, I also had to often update or create new pages on their Wix site, until the new version was ready to launch.

From 14/03/2023 to 31/03/2024 I also worked designing Instagram / Facebook social media marketing posts, using Photoshop and Illustrator.

 I used Slack, GitHub, and Jira Software to communicate with the team.

Self Employed

Since 2008, I've been working as a Freelance Web Developer, delivering websites to several clients.
I take care of it from the initial idea with the client, to understand what he needs, with surveys and meetings to collect the content, choose the closest design to match the existing visual identity or creating a new one. Next I start converting all gathered content into code, get the client's approval and get to finally publish the finished site on the production.

Most websites were built over WordPress CMS with themes and plugins usually customized by me to fit the customer' specific needs. I also managed server hosting, website maintenance, user support, customer sales, Facebook and Google Ads, Landing Pages and related tasks.

I joined a friend from previous work on making sites for his clients, using Dotnetnuke ( a dotnet templating framework ) based on Visual Basic .Net and sometimes C#. I also had to use HTML, Javascript, CSS, Photoshop, and deal with IIS Server, SQL Server and Visual Studio shenanigans.

I had to take layouts from Photoshop and convert into the structure of Dotnetnuke's templating and modules environment.

I often would go in person present the new site project to the client for approval.

One of the sites I delivered is notorious as it was quite a challenge, because the client wanted it in 3 languages and Dotnetnuke wasn't ready for that at all. I had to find an unprecedented way, which I managed to accomplish just fine.

This was a company contracted by TV Globo to produce new content to their tv and news portal at www.globo.com.

The job was basically providing new pages to their site's portal. I received the photoshop layouts from designers and had to adapt them into HTML, vanilla Javascript and CSS, and then adapt into their TCL/TK syntax in order to have them converted into static pages by Vignette on server.

The challenge - I had a solid background of Photoshop, HTML, CSS and Javascript but had to learn TCL/TK and Vignette versioning apps by doing, right there on the go, while I was converting the photoshop layouts into HTML. As I also had a solid background on PHP, it was just yet another language to learn.

Also, their HTML codes were somewhat outdated, still designed with tables. I once tried to show them some layouts coded with positioned divs, but they weren't ready for the new paradygm yet.

TV Globo

Adding new content to their "CEDOC" intranet App, with a working frontend, using Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS and vanilla Javascript, plus various minor tasks.

Making interface designs for "SGI" Desktop App, meant to control all national and international soap-opera tape's renting from TV Globo Productions.

The project lasted a few years to complete, on a small team of devs, dbas, analysts, manager and me. Technologies chosen where: C# .NET as main language, SQL Server as database, HTML, CSS, vanilla Javascript and pure AJAX.

Responsabilities included receive all the use cases and screenshots, talk to the analysts in order to understand what the interface was meant for, and then get to convert each use case into a previewable page in their IIS development and production servers, with all HTML, CSS and Javascript needed, to make it ready for the backend devs work on them.

They used some paid components, for .NET, like datagrids, tabbed forms and tons of inputs of all kinds, that were linked to each other on the same webpage. Also they wanted to have the frontend pixel perfect against the screenshots, despite the layout complexity. It was a challenge to acomplish that by hand with just vanilla javascript, html and css... I had some fights to battle with very complex forms layouts needing to fit in C# and HTML, dealing with different css versions for firefox, internet explorer 6 and 7 and their compatibility issues.

I had an specific task based on evaluating the changes requested to make a new internal custom report for the company managers, with just PHP and mySQL, entirely under Linux OS.

The challenge was mostly deal with the other devs that weren't very much of sharing anything with the only girl in the room. I felt a little discriminated there... But the report was delivered just fine, despite all the odds against me.

Archive ISP

It was a cable internet provider company. My job was making an accounting application for the Sales Manager annotate and consult every ins and outs of money that circulated in the company, to help their employees that were still using Microsoft Access and a pendrive in order to sync data between them.

I made this application for their intranet with Apache, PHP, mySQL and PostgreSQL, entirely under Linux OS.

WIZ Technologies

Making sites for cell phones, WBMP images conversion, WML markup language.

The challenge - The boss wanted all the temps (like me) to craft a solution idea together to hack a Microsoft Exchange internal functionality that didn't exist back then. When he discovered he has sold an impossible feature, he got really angry. In this place, I tried to do the most I could, but well, sometimes impossible things are just impossible.

Creativ Magazine

The project was about making one of the first online magazines about Fashion and Beauty.

I received the idea from the project's creator and translated into the design, and then converted everything to code, html, css, php and mysql. This was a big site, with dozens of pages and photos, updated every month, which I had to evaluate, organize, design in photoshop, translate into code and put into a magazine looking site.

The challenge there was managing the large amount of content in a short time, and have the magazine updated with brand new content every month. This with just vanilla PHP and HTML, no frameworks and no CMS to use.

I developed my own content management process to handle the task with an unknown templating system from inside dreamweaver, that worked like a charm.
