I don't particularly like selling myself essay-style so I will sum myself up into points for you: 1) I know how to deal with customers. I've gone from face to face shop work as an assistant manager of the busiest Holland & Barrett store in Leeds, to managing mid-high level accounts of an Anti-Money Laundering business, and now I outreach to businesses in all areas as a Business Development Rep in the data industry. I've never been into 'small talk', I grew up moderately awkward, but I like to be personable, I listen, I understand (or ask questions to clarify), I find you solutions, and perhaps best of all, I make you laugh. 2) I can be a lone wolf and a team player. Having had multiple roles as a one-woman band and the person who needs to generate their own innovative ideas, I don't need a whole lot of hand holding (which can be pretty useful if you haven't got buckets of time to give). I have also worked my way to being a team manager of different jobs and have been fully trained in doing so, which gives me the ability to hear people, guide and inspire them, and strive towards the same goal together. 3) I am dyslexic. And, I'm really proud of it. I've never let it slow me down - it has forced me to push myself to be the best at writing emails and reading something multiple times to fully understand it. I now dissect sentences and break them down to the point where I am addressing everything to the fullest. And let's not forget the multitude of ideas my fascinating little brain can create - it's definitely exciting to bring some colour to projects. 4) I do things outside of work. Yes, I get tired, but I feel as though I'm experiencing life to its fullest and that should be added to my summary. I am a singer, I constantly work on my own music writing and release tracks onto Spotify. I am also a candlemaker and creator of Element Candles. It has taken some time out whilst I am still in the early days of my new career but it's not to say it's over. I've learnt an exciting new skill and how to run my own business. Win win!
