The Lowry

Producer of the artistic programme in galleries, theatres and public spaces of the building, specifically commissioning and programming artists who work creatively with digital technology. I initiated and continue to implement this new strand of artistic content for The Lowry, delivering exhibitions, installations and theatre shows in performance, visual arts, literature, dance, music and combined arts. The Lowry is an established international theatre and contemporary gallery venue, and keeper of the national LS Lowry collection.

Quays Partnership

Founded and lead of this award winning  free public realm artistic programme with a remit to animate the public spaces at Salford Quays & MediaCityUK. I commissioned and programmed extraordinary cultural events with international artists and partners, aimed to attract diverse audiences and media coverage through commissioning and presenting world-class art. 
This ambitious programme is only possible through a complex network of collaboration with the public and private sector; the Quays Partnership - BBC, Peel Holdings, Salford City Council, University of Salford, Imperial War Museum North and The Lowry and forms part of the Destination Visitor Plan for Salford Quays.

Annual successes regularly include the Quays Culture securing 4.6million TV and radio audiences, online media and print EAV (Equivalent Advertising Value) of £2.2million, live audiences in excess of 340,000, involving 150 artists, 700 volunteers and team.

I'm a Creative Producer of cultural events and experience exhibitions. I curate and commission strategic programmes across media, theatres, cinema and public spaces in the buildings and outdoor locations. I work across performance, dance, digital art, music and visual art - for venues, festivals, corporate partners and the public sector clients & events. 

The events I commission and produce range from the intimate to the monumental, acting as a series of interventions and invitations to the public. I work with local to international artistic talent in performance, visual arts and combined arts, as well as commissions that are site specific to unusual locations. Artists using technology in their practice are my specific specialism, as well as a broad knowledge in art programming for theatre, galleries, festivals and events.
