How can I distill my professional self after 27 years of working in the Information Technology field, and what is most important for you to know about me? I am a dedicated, hard-working IT professional with multinational organization experience, most recently in the hospitality industry. I am known for my ability to ensure application systems work effectively and efficiently. I get to the root cause of system issues to ensure they are resolved and make sure my systems support the broader organization. My goal is to simplify these systems to make the jobs of those who depend on them easier, not more complicated. I am dedicated to understanding any obstacles preventing people from doing their jobs effectively and removing those obstacles as quickly as possible. I love taking away drudgery--being able to simplify or automate some hated busy work that must be done. I love being able to help skilled and talented colleagues add useful time to their day to do what they truly want and need to do. I take pride in cross-functional collaboration. I reach out to colleagues often to understand what they need from the system to do their work effectively. They trust that I will address their concerns with immediacy. When all is said and done, I am often told, "The IT guy really gets it and has my back." I'm there for my colleagues, so my colleagues can do what they do best.
