I graduated from West Texas A&M in May 2022 with a major in Economics - Law and Economics Specialization, B.B.A. While at West Texas A&M, I established and grew my passion for using data to draw meaningful conclusions about a company's growth and resolving stakeholders' problems. Some courses that fascinated me most were Statistics, where I first learned to collect data from primary and secondary resources, graphs, excel, sample analysis, research, problem-solving and critical thinking. As a delivery driver, I bring my notebook to work to collect information about the delivery orders at the end of the week, specifical data from restaurant name, miles, item counts, app payout, total, and payout. Furthermore, understanding which restaurant customers select and pay the most in terms of tips will maximize payouts and minimize time spent. Despite my current lack of being in a true data analyst role in the past, I make up for this limitation with my ability to think analytically to solve business problems to maximize money in the less time. During last two months, I recently obtained the Google Data Analytics Certificate. I gained an understanding of SQL (BigQuery), Advanced Excel, Tableau, and R. I believe I can help any business solve its problems in a data analyst capacity. Skills include Economics, finance, critical thinking, problem-solving, research, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new technologies, adaptability, time management, excellent verbal and written communication skills, data visualization, and database queries.
