Graduated in Medicine; specialization in Clinical Pathology. MBA in Health Administration by IBMEC. Executive Training (PAEX) by Fundação Dom Cabral. In 1999, I started work activity as a consultant in clinical laboratory accreditation and quality management – PALC/SBPC/ML. Among my outstanding works in this field, I have created the first online service for clinical laboratory consultancy and training, LABConsult. I have worked for the creation of the first nationwide clinical laboratories association, called REDELAB, and I have worked on the creation of its support laboratory, Lab Rede. I have been a Clinical Pathologist at Hospital Gov. Israel Pinheiro, located at Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. I have managed the clinical laboratory, the ancillary diagnostics sector (SADT) and I have been its Clinical Director. Now, I am retired. From 2009 until 2020 I have worked as a Technical Director at Laboratório Lustosa, Lustosa is a private and independent clinical laboratory that performs around 300.000 tests/month and is PALC accredited and ISO 9001 certified. I have developed its Genomic Section. Currently, I am the coordinator of Clinical Laboratory postgraduation courses at ISMD, starting 2021. I am an active member of the Brazilian Society of Clinical Pathology/Laboratory Medicine and of the Association for Molecular Pathology. I am interested in Clinical Laboratory management and accreditation, as well as in new developments in the genomics and genetics field. I plan to learn at least a bit of R Programming in the near future,
