In my role, I provide support for existing and non customers so they can receive highest possible levels of support from our pre-sales and account management teams.  I've also been ingrained within the marketing and communications team that (in April/May 2019) oversaw the corporate rebranding from Fleet Effect to Kynection.

Vertical Matters

Vertical Matters is a reseller of Upvise.com who specialises in modernising business operations through the implementation of best-of-breed mobile technologies (inc. GPS). Their goal is to help companies operate in a paperless environment and run more efficiently by digitising the process of data capture from the field using standard mobile devices. The Upvise application works as a "Mobile ERP" that also revolutionises the process of achieving Triple Certification (ISO9001, AS/NS4801, & ISO14001).

This company has been set up to help simplify the process of foreign companies wishing to do business (or, "negócios") with Brazil.  This includes whether you're interested in launching, require assistance with an existing business or whether you'd like to import Brazilian goods.  The systems within Brazil are quite complex so it's imperative to have a local legal, accounting, marketing and administration team that can help you wade through the minefield.

My role is to setup, nurture and support channel partners, identify your requirements, gather the required resources, present my clients with a detailed plan and then - MOST IMPORTANTLY - implementation.

New Era Technology AU

My responsibilities involve building up channels of business in the Australian corporate, government and educational markets with a multi-national ICT solutions provider. In this role I used business analyst skills to bring their new range of products and services to the market.

Business Development Manager

Encyclopaedia Britannica

In this position, I was faced with the challenge of turning a territory yielding USD$395 p.a. into a profitable position. Within 21 months, I was able to turn this into a USD$1.6 million p.a. by establishing a partnership with the Brazilian Education Department and developing new distribution channels throughout four countries.

This role required me to understand new market structures and rapidly create networks of important contacts. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of learning Portuguese which allowed me to get deeper into the Brazilian market.

• Closed a USD$420,000 deal with the Brazilian government (Division of CAPES) providing online access to all Federal Universities for 3 years
• Closed a USD$30,000 OEM deal with a Brazilian publishing company and co-managed production
• Developed a distribution network with leading institutional & consumer market distributors in Brazil, Argentina & Uruguay
• Project managed the completion of multimedia training materials for our end customers and external sales staff (localised in Spanish and Portuguese)

Country Manager (Brazil)

In this position I was responsible for marketing and creating sales channels for Encyclopaedia Britannica’s online products to the institutional markets within EMEA.

At my time of arrival, the company had already penetrated the main markets (UK, Ireland & Scandinavia) and I was able to successfully open up several profitable markets including the Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and South Africa.
