Hi, my name is Lutho Kondlo. My passion and expertise are in marketing, social media management, SEO, blogging and community management. In previous years I was a content marketer in a volunteer role; at PositiveO. My responsibilities include developing and executing a social media strategy for 2023, writing a content schedule, collaborating with the design team for content to post on socials and doing market research to stay up to date with the latest trends. In my previous role, I was a social media marketing intern and part of the social media team. An accomplishment I am proud of was managing my first marketing campaign 44 influencers for an influencer campaign with a prominent beverage brand in South Africa. At the beginning of my internship, I had the privilege to work in various departments. For each month between May – November, I spent my time in PR, Strategy, Ad Operations, Creative, Sales and Publishing departments. PR: -Find suitable influencers for a campaign -Write up a monthly schedule for content for a delivery app social media page Strategy: -Go through a brief and ideate with the strategy team -Present a deck to the strategy team Ad Operations: -Do weekly and monthly reports Creative: -Learned basic photoshop skills -Created a mockup storyboard using Adobe Photoshop Sales: -Identify prospective clients and lead generation on LinkedIn -Practiced presenting the deck to be knowledgeable about products Publishing -Worked with the Ad Operations team to manage the reporting of digital ad campaigns So why pursue a career in social media ? Because I'm a Gen Z, social media is in my DNA. Secondly, my passion for creating and my strong visual aesthetic makes it an easy decision to pursue this career path. I love building brands social presence from zero to excellent.
