I work with a number of community partners in the areas of capital development, operations and programming to increase and improve Edmontonians access to sport and recreation opportunities. Primary responsibilities include managing relationships with partners, supporting community-led capital projects, negotiating and managing agreements, and contributing to branch and corporate strategic initiatives.

I provided instruction in all core subjects, physical education and FSL to diverse students from grades five to nine. I had a keen interest in working with staff to effectively integrate technology as a pedagogical tool, prompting me to create training tools and lead staff development in this area.

My primary responsibility was to support event planners and volunteers preparing for and during major festivals and events. I liaised between user groups and city departments to interpret and relay policies and procedures, ensure compliance with regulations and requirements, facilitate successful events, and contribute to post-event analyses.

In this role, I supported high school sport competition in sanctioned events leading up to provincial championships. Administratively, I planned and organized meetings, conferences, and other association events; created media guides to promote sport championships; wrote speeches; and represented the organization at sport championship events. I reviewed policies, resolved issues, and improved communications and operations. I streamlined the process for provincial championship bidding by recommending online presentation, introducing standard proposal criteria, and creating a template for bid presentations, thereby saving time and reducing travel costs. I also developed clear and concise online and print training resources for coaches and athletic directors.
