I designed the patent-pending enterprise SaaS application named RevdUp, a revenue planning, tracking, revenue target distribution and monitoring application. My responsibilities included designing mid-fidelity prototypes from creative briefs and updating the design according to user and stakeholder feedback.

This is a SaaS design project under the SaasFactor SaaS design lab.

Lead Product Designer

As a freelance product designer, I worked on various product design projects with clients from LinkedIn, Dribbble, and Upwork. 

My notable projects included:

▪️The Titan mobile app redesign, a leading stock trading app (Wall Street, NYC)

Freelance Product Designer

Next Design Agency

I worked with a US-based design agency for more than three years. As a product designer, my responsibilities were to communicate with cross-discipline teams.

🔸My key responsibilities include:
■ Project planning,
■ Conducting primary and secondary research,
■ Considering the business side of the product,
■ Considering the financial aspects of the design,
■ Design, prototyping, testing, and continuous iterations.

I used to calculate the timeline and assign tasks to other team members. I was responsible to the project manager and had to obey the timeline he/she thought fit.

🔸My key achievements during this journey:
■ Doorstead: Our design for a property management company raised 15 million in funding from 5 Investors.

🔸What I learned from this journey:
■ Precise time management is crucial for a product designer.
■ Timely communication saves much time because it's the ultimate challenge of remote collaboration.

Product Designer

Being promoted to UX designer, I had to take care of all aspects of UX design processes.

🔸My key responsibilities include:
■ UX research
■ Participating in the ideation process and coming up with ideas,
■ Making user flow diagrams and information architecture,
■ Conducting Primary, Secondary, foundational, and other kinds of research,
■ Conducting competitive audits to come up with competitive and different concepts,
■ Making compelling interactions, 
■ Detailed and scalable design systems, and
■ The prototypes.

I was used to working on tight deadlines and specific requirements. The deliverables should be made on time and work upon the feedback. Continuous iteration was a significant part of my journey. 

🔸My critical achievements during this journey:
■ Private Internet Access: We helped PIA - the largest VPN company- increase its new user conversion rate to 22%. It was acquired for 95Million by Cape Technologies.
■ Justbooked: Our design for a Toronto-based corporate catering service helped raise pre-seed VC funding, which is still growing.

🔸What I learned from this journey:
■ For remote-office culture, clear communication among teammates is crucial to complete honest work.
■ The commitment and meet that commitment make it easier for the team to progress.

UX Designer

I worked with a US-based design agency for more than three years. As a product designer, my responsibilities were to communicate with cross-discipline teams.

🔸My key responsibilities include:
■ Brainstorming design ideas,
■ Designing stunning designs for web and mobile apps,
■ Making user flow diagrams and information architecture,
■ Wireframes and prototype 
■ Handing over the deliverables to developers via Zipline

I was used to working on tight deadlines and specific requirements. The deliverables should be made on time and work upon the feedback. Continuous iteration was a significant part of my journey. 

🔸My critical achievements during this journey:
■ Carient: Designed a web-based service for an AI-based skin-care startup that is now profitable.

🔸What I learned from this journey:
■ There is nothing called "Final design." Every design has some scope for improvement.
■ I learned the fundamental factors about typography, color, and imagery contributing to a good user experience.

UI Designer

I worked here to make an e-learning platform for all students in primary education in Bangladesh. The app will help the students get video content on every curriculum the government listed. 

UNDP funded the project in collaboration with A2I, a government initiative to make an inclusive and equitable primary education system for all.

🔸My key responsibilities were:
◾️Conducting research of all kinds,
◾️Conducting interviews of the students,
◾️Making user journey maps,
◾️Making wireframes, and
◾️High-fidelity app and responsive website.

🔸How our process worked:
Since I was the lead UX designer of this project, I had to work with the project stakeholders, including the agent from UNDP, the govt. Officials and other developers. I set the plans and milestones for executing different parts of the project. There was a team who was always ready to help me to meet my goals.

🔸The status:
A2I postpones the project for lack of funding and clear strategy of its financial model. Previously A2I planned it to be free. But now, they are planning to make it for-profit because there are a lot of expenses in creating digital content that wasn't clear at the beginning.

🔸What I learned:
It's hard to make a design both inclusive and equitable at a time when the end-users are primary students. Tons of usability studies and observations are needed to get feedback and insights. Often time these users don't know what they want.

Lead UX Designer of Konnect project

Themefisher

This company hired me after firing me four months ago from my internship.

I designed websites for marketplaces in a collaborative ecosystem of front-end developers. My responsibility was to make an end-to-end web experience that ought to be modern and good-looking. The aesthetic aspect of my designs was crucial because of the competitive nature of the template marketplace.

🔸My achievement:
I was able to transform myself into a UI designer and became the person whom they considered valuable. Although they fired me five months ago because they thought I could not be a designer and indeed I wasn't a good one. 

This event in my life gave me the confidence to grow even after rejection. I learned that passion and hard work trump everything.

User Interface Designer

Devscred

I worked as an intern UI designer for NO-payment for four months to learn the UI design and fundamentals of UX design. I worked for absolutely free because my senior designer promised me to teach the design what I was fascinated to learn.

Generally, the tasks were assigned to me by the senior designer with a specific deadline and deliverables. I had the scope to collaborate with other fellow designers and conduct a design audit with them to get feedback on my designs.


🔸My key responsibilities were:
◾️I was used to making themes for marketplaces in Adobe Photoshop,
◾️I designed UIs for clients,
◾️Designing ad banners for marketing purposes,

🔸What I learned:
◾️Visual design is a part of UX design, NOT everything, as I thought earlier.
◾️I learned the UI layout patterns and how to organize different contents in different places of a place.
◾️Empathy is the key to UX design.
◾️I learned the interaction design and the factors that make a difference between visual design and UI design.

Immediately after I dropped my law career, I got a chance to get into my first vidual design internship. It's where I learned the basics of visual design and web design. 

I designed websites primarily for marketplaces. We used to conduct a competitive audit on similar products or themes to make superior-looking websites.

🔸My key responsibilities were:
◾️To make designs for free website templates.
◾️Cotinuous collaboration with two front-end developers,
◾️Making custom illustrations for the website in Adobe Illustrator,
◾️Making re-touched images in Adobe Photoshop,
◾️Making information architecture for websites, and
◾️Ship the completed pages to front-end developers.

🔸What I have learned:
Themefisher fired me from the internship because of slow progress in my skills. I learned that until and unless I become an asset to a company, no one will give me a job. I worked hard for the next four months to learn UI design so that I become an asset. 

🔹 Themefisher offered me a full-time job as a UI designer after four months of firing me.

Intern Visual Design

Dhaka University IT Society (DUITS)

I led the club named Dhaka University IT Society (DUITS) which is the second largest student club at the University of Dhaka. By setting the goal to make an "IT enabled campus for better education," we used to organize the programs that help the general students to be more aware of information technology. 

 We arranged many programs, workshops, IT festivals, and boot camps to spread the knowledge among the students.

🔸My key responsibilities were:
◾️To arrange regular programs that facilitate knowledge sharing, like boot camps, workshops, IT trainings, and cyber security seminars,
◾️Conduct teamwork and encourage club members to work as a team to land the programs,
◾️To maintain the relationship with Vice Chancellors, faculties, ICT ministers, and other IT or science club students from all around Bangladesh,
◾️To make designs for free website templates.

🔸My key achievements:
◾️From 2013 - 2017, We arranged the largest IT Festival in Bangladesh four times, where 103 universities and colleges participated.
◾️ In 2014-2015, we set to install three FREE wi-fi zones on the campus by managing sponsors from Erricson.
◾️ In 2016, We planned and executed the "One-Student-One-Laptop" project by which we distributed 150 laptops to general students.
◾️ We worked with the Google Translate project and helped Google to manage the Google Translate workshop at the campus.
◾️ We arranged regular cyber security conferences and programs in university dormitories, especially in female dorms, to make awareness about cyber security. It helped all students to become more aware and informed about the downside of the internet.
