Festivals are not for Freelancers (You are living under a rock if you believe this)

So, for the past two days, I've been all in for Holi. 

And guess what? I didn't have to drop my work once.

Why? Because I had it all planned:

➔ Sorted my clients' week ahead on Sunday.
➔ Reused some old content and set it up.
➔ Told my clients when they could reach me.
➔ Worked during quieter times in the afternoon and at night.

I managed it all so well, no regrets!

The outcome?

➔ Holi celebrations to the fullest!
➔ Hung out with friends without worries.
➔ Initiated posting for a new client.
➔ I landed a client feature in LinkedIn news.

All because I had a plan. Forget "Festivals aren't for freelancers." Here's the real deal:

➔ Yes, you can enjoy life and work hard.
➔ Yes, you can take breaks and still progress.
➔ Yes, you can lead a regular life and still achieve extraordinary things.

It's not about making a choice; it's about finding balance.

How a 5-Day trip 5x my business & mindset growth (This post is a reality check for all the hustlers)

So, I recently took a 5-day trip to Delhi 
↳ a much-needed break from my usual grind. 

My nerves were screaming for something different
↳ something to breathe new life into me.

 And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy:

→ The whole hustle culture had me trapped.
→ Not fitting the definition of ‘hate work-life balance’ made me insecure.
→ Quitting my momentum felt like taking two steps back.

But guess what? I said 'screw it' and booked a last-minute trip. No regrets.

Here’s how I flipped the script of ‘Hustle-Hard’ advice:

1. Instead of sleeping the day away during my break
↳ I revamped my offers/strategy/TG and found my real voice.

2. Travelling non-stop didn't slow down my content creation
↳ It sparked 30+ new ideas.

3. Stepping away from my routine broadened my horizons. 
↳ There's a world of opportunities out there; find what speaks to you.

4. Ditched my usual crew (family) to meet online buddies. 
↳ It gave me fresh insights into business and life and kept loneliness at bay.

Remember, taking breaks isn’t just about chilling; it’s about reflecting on how we hustle.

P.P.S. - I am starting to post every other day, which means Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. (Now quality matters to me most)

My clients saw my million-dollar smile on video calls, but never my (slightly dusty) second-hand laptop.

Guess what? My second-hand laptop serves my overseas clients. 

Surprising, huh?

Does it hurt my reputation? No.
Does it affect our working relationship? No.
Does it hinder my work quality? Absolutely not.

What truly keeps my clients engaged for more than a year now?

→ The exceptional quality of the work I produce.
→ My prompt responses to their inquiries.
→ The clear expectations and goals I establish from the outset.

Bottom line? It's the effectiveness of your services, not the fanciest gadgets.

(Sure, investing in tools is great, but real magic lies in impactful services) 

The same concept applies to sharing stories on Li. If you're just in it for the story-sharing fame (Just like buying fancy laptops), 

You might end up:

→ Sharing random tidbits.
→ Using fluffy language.
→ Unclear CTAs.

Result? You lose your audience.

To succeed:

→ Share impactful stories.
→ Keep messages clear and concise.
→ Include strong CTAs.

(It's the impact of your story that resonates, not the short-lived thrill of getting noticed)

Remember, it's all about:

Valuable Stories ➡️ Clear Messaging ➡️ Compelling CTA

Don't ‘just’ share stories—make them count

Struggling to get leads? Ghosted by prospects? It's Not Them, It's Your Reputation (Read the story or regret it)

Planning my trip to Delhi, my mom advised me to dress nicely and avoid my usual everyday clothes. 

She even took me shopping, and I ended up getting some new clothes 
(I paid for them, hehe).

At first, I was hesitant to spend money on clothes.
↳ I wondered, why can't we just wear our regular outfits at our relatives' house?

But then I realized that how we dress speaks volumes about us. It indicates:

↳ Our responsibility for life's basics
↳ Our cultural background and values
↳ Our attention to even the smallest details of our appearance.

Turning to LinkedIn, I was guilty of the same:

↳ Sharing less-than-professional content (eating snacks or posting blurry selfies)
↳ Using informal language like "Heck no" or "Damn" 
↳ Keeping the 'magician brand' looked childish. 

(which might appeal to a younger audience but may not resonate with older professionals).

Considering that the majority of my desired TAs fall between 35 and 50 years old
↳ Do you think they'll want to engage in business with someone who appears unprofessional? 

(Certainly not; they'd likely see such behavior as immature.)

That's when it hit me: our online presence needs to show our best selves. 

The way we communicate, the images we share 
↳ they all contribute to how we're perceived.

And guess what? When I suddenly made huge changes : 

↳ I started posting 'decent' pics, relevant to what I was saying (just like now).
↳ I switched up my language to sound more pro.
↳ I revamped my whole profile to give off a more professional vibe.

Now I am more mindful of what I post on LinkedIn.
↳ because that's how we establish a positive reputation online.

How a Broke College Student turned into a high-paid Freelancer

(The Untold Story)

It was July 2023, a quiet Sunday morning. 

Mayank and his family were just hanging out in the garden, enjoying the peace.

As Mayank's dad watched TV, he saw a program about successful IAS officers.

 He turned to Mayank, his voice tinged with concern, 
"Look at them, son. They've done so well with education. What's your plan?"

Meanwhile, Mayank stumbled upon a video by SHRUTI about freelancing.

Filled with emotion, Mayank:

→ Learned about writing.
→ Made a LinkedIn account.
→ Started writing online.
→ Did some free work.
→ Shared his journey.

Then, one morning, he woke up to a message on LinkedIn: “Interested in your work”.

Little did he know, tears of joy would soon fill his eyes as his life took a beautiful turn.

LinkedIn's like a treadmill—you're constantly running but not really getting anywhere

> You're constantly updating your profile
> Tossing out posts left and right, 
> Trying to connect like there's no tomorrow

But sometimes, it feels like you're just shouting into the void, right? 

Where's the love, huh? Where's the payoff for all that sweat and tears?

It's frustrating, to say the least. 

But here's the thing: maybe we're focusing too much on the grind and not enough on the real connections.

It's not just about the likes and the numbers
↳ it's about building genuine relationships. 

So, next time you're feeling stuck on that LinkedIn treadmill, take a breather.

Focus on:

> Having real conversations
> Sharing ideas
> Getting to know people beyond their profiles. 

That's where the magic happens.

And who knows, maybe when you least expect it, you'll finally start moving forward.

Feeling lost on LinkedIn? here's the REAL STORY of building a brand with consistent effort (and the results are way more sustainable!)

A 20-year-old guy was on his laptop, checking out LinkedIn. 

He was thinking about making his own brand there, so he looked at the profiles of the top creators.

His little brother was learning in the same room, making noise. He felt annoyed but couldn't do anything about it.

For the past 5 months:

→ He hardly got any likes or comments, maybe 30+.
→ Posting three times a week was tough.
→ He only got a few new followers each day, like 5-10.
→ He didn't reach out to many people on LinkedIn.
→ Many people he reached out to didn't reply.

He felt stuck and angry, questioning his choices.

He closed his laptop and watched a video called "How to make money online faster."

Meanwhile, his mom finished telling a story about a rabbit and a tortoise. She said, "Life's a marathon, not a sprint."

Something clicked in his mind. He stopped the video and checked his stats.

He decided to change his strategy and move at his  his own pace 

→ He started reaching out to 5 people a day, then
 10.
→ He posted 5x a week & doubled down on best content 
→ He started engaging with 30-40 people a day

In the few months:

→ He got more followers, like 9k,
→ He had more engagement around 200 on average.
→ He helped out 5+ female entrepreneurs in building their brand 

After 10 months, he was writing his next post with the hook : "LinkedIn is a marathon NOT a sprint."
