I started my career as an admin and in one great instance where my preparation met opportunity, I was drawn to marketing. What I love about marketing, or basically what drew me to it, is the fact that it is a fast-paced and trending discipline that sparks my inner artistry and requires me to continuously work on myself in terms of creativity, analytics, and psychology. I am passionately curious and I draw my motivation from it. I am driven to make a difference and I love a good challenge that will push me to learn and grow in the process, so what better way to live this dream than to be a marketer? The highlight of my career would be my first job as an intern at UNECA where I learned expectations vs reality lessons, followed by my time working at Ethiopian Airlines as a customer service agent where I built my communication skills, customer service, thinking on my feet, and real-time experience of the value of time. Last but not least, my time at Awash Wine, where my career shifted in the right direction and I started my career journey as a marketer. Outside of work, I am happily married and the mother of 3 beautiful daughters who I see a glimpse of myself in and, at the same time with the courage of their own conviction. I am passionate about leadership. Therefore, I read books, listen to podcasts, and love to engage in networking activities that will build my leadership skills.
