Over the past 15 + years, I have spearheaded new business and research group launches, clinical and preclinical product development, research study designs, and site selection in the biopharmaceutical arena. I have led engagements with major pharmaceuticals and medical device companies to shepherd them through the clinical trial, product development, regulatory submission, and product registration process. Throughout my career I have been leading initiatives for large and small biopharmaceutical companies, not-for-profit entities, and academic organizations, I have developed a leadership style that clearly defines organizational objectives, team expectations, and execution strategies. In addition, I have learned that effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and across all levels of the business is essential. Highlights include: • Designing trials and implementing international multi-center Phase II & III clinical research trials and preclinical models in osteoarticular conditions. • Founding an independent research group (University of Bern) and securing funding from diverse institutions for tissue engineering of osteoarticular pathologies. • Creating the International Cartilage Repair Society a non-profit organization counting more than 1,200 members worldwide. • Serving as a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) in specialty areas that include rheumatology, inflammatory conditions, orthopedics, oncology and urology.
