I referred a candidate who went for an interview last week on Tuesday. Their second interview was on Friday, and he received good news today of a six-figure job offer, which he accepted!

That is how the hiring and referral system should go. It should not take candidates 5-6 rounds of interviews and months of interviewing with the same company for the hiring managers to make a decision. 

If the candidate is qualified, you interview them and if they meet every requirement/qualification that you have on the job specification, hire them.
