I’m 23 and If there was one skill that I’d want when I was 16,17 or 18 - it would be,
 

To have the ability to do what I have to do, regardless of how I was ‘feeling’ at the moment. 

If action is born out of motivation - the thing that motivates me has control over my actions more than I do. If it's born out of discipline - I get to choose how and when to wield the sword. 

Most of us presently ‘act’ according to how we are feeling, how the day went - maybe how somebody behaved with us and each of these situations are past moments, they aren’t one’s present reality. 

We make our current reality, a shitty one, by analyzing the past, in the present - sacrificing the present for a future that will not exist.

Imagine the time we have wasted in not ‘doing’ simply because something that we wanted to happen, did not, several thousands of moments ago. 

I want to do what I have to do - regardless of how I am feeling, if I'm feeling good - great. If not - great. The act will not suffer. 

The day the circumstances around me decide how agile I must be. 

That’s the day I’m done.

The Duncker Radiation Story. (Solving Complex Problems with Simple Solutions)

Ever faced a problem that seemed unsolvable? Meet Duncker’s radiation problem. 

Imagine a doctor with a dilemma. A patient with a deep, inoperable tumor. Tough spot, right?

Here’s the catch. There’s a ray that can zap the tumouur. But it’s a double-edged sword.

Too weak, the ray does nothing. Too strong, it harms healthy tissue. Quite the predicament.

So, what’s the solution? Think outside the box. Or in this case, inside the body.

The answer lies in strategy. Not brute force, but precision and planning. Like a chess game.

The doctor’s move? Use multiple low-intensity rays. Converge them on the tumour.

This way, each ray is harmless alone. But together, they pack a punch. Right where it’s needed.

Success can be achieved by converging multiple small efforts towards a focal point. This is the power of incremental progress converging to create a significant impact.

I come from a fairly large, extensive Gujarati family that has amassed wealth over decades, the one fact that we all are aware of is that:

➡ Generational wealth is transferred through education, not assets.

While assets depreciate, the value of education appreciates with each passing generation.

The most fantastic wealth transfer isn't through wills, it's through wisdom. While people choose to measure wealth in acres - measuring it in insights always makes more sense? 

I have always felt that if your sense of security is 100% in the wealth that you have been given, you have to rely more on luck in comparison to someone who has developed a skill of a certain kind - real security lies in the 'know-how.'

The question is quite simple - do you have something that multiplies and compounds over time instead of depreciating? (Wisdom is definitely one such thing)

Balaji Srinivasan: “Startup founders need to be ideologically motivated”

“One should be a startup founder if you are fundamentally ideologically motivated... The reason I say ideologically motivated is that a startup is so hard, and it’s so economically irrational to persist with it at certain times. Many people are not ideologically motivated and that’s fine too, but if you are ideologically motivated, Balaji suggests asking yourself: “what is the single most effective thing you can do to achieve that goal?”

He recalls a quote from Larry page that “10x is easier than 10% sometimes.”  It might be easier to do something paradigmatically different and better through a startup than it is to improve an existing system by 10%.

2. Self driving cars are all about enhanced perception. They are equipped with cameras, LIDAR, and radar that provide 360-degree vision and the ability to detect objects at a distance, even in challenging weather conditions.

3. Predictive Behavior and Decision Making is key: AVs can predict and analyze the behaviour of other road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists, leading to safer interactions on the road. (To what accuracy is still a debate but in a country like India - this is the most important function out of all)

From a moral standpoint - If you’re a horrible driver, this can actually help you.
