▶ 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐃𝐨: I owe my love of marketing to the owner of a small, family-owned furniture store that I started working at while still in high school. I admired her drive, creativity, and ability to tell stories that established the business as the go-to store for quality furniture. She gave me the opportunity to experiment with messaging, pricing, and merchandising – I was hooked! That job fueled my desire to make marketing my career. As my career evolved from products to software, I have always enjoyed the strategic nature of storytelling. I love the research side to my work and my approach is deliberate and objective. From mining data to gain a deep understanding of customer motivations; crafting the positioning and messaging; collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams; to creating sales enablement materials (and everything in between) - Getting to witness my work brought to life is truly the best reward. ▶𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐮𝐭: I can see the big picture and connect the dots to get there through research, business case development, securing funding, project management, go-to-market, and messaging.
